    Rochdale have confirmed the signings of John-Kymani Gordon and Archie Baptiste on loan deals until the end of the season.

    Gordon, 23, primarily operates as a winger and has joined from Colchester United.

    He was part of the Carlisle United side which won the 2023 League Two play-off final against Stockport County while on loan from Crystal Palace.

    Meanwhile Baptiste, 20, has signed from Championship club Middlesbrough and has captained Boro's Premier League 2 side this season.

    The pair are available to make their debuts for the National League leaders when they continue their promotion push with a trip to Sutton United on Saturday (15:00 GMT).

    Rochdale have signed goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom from League Two strugglers Barrow in a short-term loan deal.

    The 24-year-old moves to the National League leaders with Dale number one Oliver Whatmuff - on loan from Manchester City - currently away on international duty with the England Under-19 squad.

    Barrow say Winterbottom will be available for Rochdale's next two matches - against Scunthorpe United and Sutton United - before returning to them.

    Rochdale captain Ethan Ebanks-Landell has signed a new contract running until the end of next season.

    Ebanks-Landell has played more than 150 games for Dale in two spells, once on loan and then permanently since 2022.

    The 33-year-old has appeared in 32 of his side's 35 league games this season and they are top of the National League, two points ahead of York City.

    Rochdale defender Sam Beckwith has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.

    The 24-year-old, who moved to the Crown Oil Arena from Maidenhead United, was named players' player of the season in 2024-25 and was also included in the National League's team of the season.

    He is currently sidelined by a hamstring injury which has kept him out of action since December.

    "I'm buzzing to sign. It's the place I really want to be," he told the club's website., external

    "The club have shown a real loyalty towards me since my injury and it's only right that I repay that."

    Struggling Morecambe have signed experienced defender Liam Hogan from National League rivals Rochdale on an 18-month contract.

    The 37-year-old, who captained Salford City to promotion into the English Football League in 2018-19, has 465 senior appearances to his name.

    He was a regular for Rochdale last season but has enjoyed limited opportunities during the current campaign and has chosen to make the switch.

    "In the moment that Morecambe are in, I feel like my attributes - my experience and my time in this league will be good - especially off the back of a really good win at the weekend," Hogan told the club's website., external

    "Coming from Rochdale, it's a little bit bittersweet in terms of I've left a really good group there and I wish them all the very best."

    Morecambe, who beat Eastleigh 4-0 on Saturday, travel to Gateshead on Wednesday.
