    Jaze Kabia has scored 40 goals in two seasons with Truro City and then Grimsby Town

    Leyton Orient have signed Jaze Kabia from Grimsby Town on a three-year deal for an undisclosed club-record transfer fee.

    The 26-year-old scored 24 goals in 57 appearances in all competitions for League Two Grimsby in 2025-2026, helping them reach the play-offs.

    He scored nine times in their final 10 matches as they finished seventh.

    Previously, Kabia netted 16 goals in 40 league appearances for Truro City as they were crowned National League South champions in 2024/2025.

    He becomes Orient's ninth summer signing, and takes the number nine shirt following Dom Ballard's sale to Bristol City for an undisclosed fee.

    Kabia told the club website: "I have a habit for being in the right place at the right time and I feel like finishing is the strongest part of my game. I'm really excited and am itching to get started here.

    "It's a statement having the number nine on your back, it carries weight, and I like that kind of pressure. It gives me that extra motivation and I want to continue this club's streak of having good goalscorers."

    Orient head coach Richie Wellens added: "Jaze will bring us pace, power, desire, commitment, work rate and a big goal threat.

    "He scored a hell of a lot of goals for Truro to earn his move into the league and then did the same at Grimsby."

    Tamworth have signed goalkeeper Rhys Lovett on a one-year contract.

    The 29-year-old spent time with Kidderminster Harriers in the National League North last season and has played in the fifth tier with Maidenhead.

    Lovett will be available when Tamworth begin their league campaign against last season's beaten play-off finalists Boreham Wood on Saturday.

    "It is probably the toughest start we could have had to this season's campaign," said manager Andy Peaks.

    "They were so strong last season and literally minutes away from securing promotion to League Two."

    Eastleigh have signed Gillingham midfielder Nelson Khumbeni on a season-long loan.

    The 23-year-old joined the Gills from Bolton last year and made 22 appearances last season.

    He has non-league experience from a successful loan spell with Fylde.

    Eastleigh will host Gateshead in the National League on Saturday.

    Wealdstone have signed former Luton forward Admiral Muskwe and former Crawley defender Dion Conroy.

    Muskwe, 27 (pictured), started his career with Leicester before joining the Hatters, and was with Morecambe last season.

    Conroy, 30, joins from Crawley, who he captained to promotion to League One two years ago.

    Manager Gary Waddock said, external: "Admiral has been with us for a few weeks now and has impressed everyone with his attitude and application.

    "He gives us another strong option at the top end of the pitch, and his pace and power will make him a valuable addition to the squad."

    Gateshead have signed former Hull City midfielder Rocco Coyle on a two-year contract.

    The 20-year-old, who was released by the Tigers this summer, has National League experience having been loaned out to Boston United - as well as National League North side Scarborough Athletic - last season.

    "It's a good feeling to be a part of the team," Coyle, the younger brother of Hull City captain Lewie, told the club website, external.

    "Last week there was talk of me coming in. As soon as I came in I knew I was wanting to sign here and buzzing to get it done.

    "The lads are spot on. Everyone seems to be together in the group which is always a good sign."

    Eastleigh have signed winger Dion Rankine on loan from Crewe Alexandra until January.

    The 23-year-old made 15 appearances for Crewe in all competitions last season and has also had spells with Exeter City and Wigan Athletic.

    Halifax have signed full-back Raheem Conte.

    The 23-year-old was a free agent after leaving Morecambe at the end of last season after making 17 league appearances.

    The former Cardiff City man could make his debut for the Shaymen in Saturday's National League season-opener at Forest Green Rovers.

    Halifax have not disclosed the length of contract he has signed.

    Forest Green Rovers have signed centre-back Filozofe Mabete from Swindon Town on a six-month loan deal.

    The 21-year-old made 26 appearances for the Robins last season after signing from Wolves during the summer and will stay with the National League side until 2 January.

    Yeovil have signed winger Charlie Lennon on loan from Barnsley until January 2027.

    The 20-year-old began his career in Middlesbrough's academy and made one senior appearance for the club before joining Barnsley in January.

    He played in three games for the Tykes, scoring one goal.

  10. Harrogate Town sign Worthing striker Dolaghanpublished at 16:56 BST 5 August

    Harrogate Town have signed Worthing striker Brad Dolaghan for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.

    The 21-year-old scored 23 goals in 40 league games in 2025-26 as Worthing won promotion to the National League.

    He could make his debut for Simon Weaver's men in Saturday's season-opener against Solihull Moors.

    Barrow have signed centre-back Thierry Latty-Fairweather following his release by FC Halifax.

    The 6ft 3in (1.9m) defender has league experience with Burton Albion but has spent recent seasons in the National League with York City and Maidenhead United as well as the Shaymen.

    Harrogate Town have signed Halifax Town midfielder Josh Hmami for an undisclosed fee.

    The 26-year-old scored 12 goals in 42 National League appearances for the Shaymen last season after joining from King's Lynn Town.

    He could make his debut for the Sulpherites at home to Solihull Moors in their National League opener on Saturday.

    "He's an ambitious lad and fits the profile we are looking for in that position, we hope he can bring goals like he did last season," head of player recruitment Lloyd Kerry told the club website., external

    Harrogate have not confirmed the length of Hmami's contract.

    Wealdstone have signed young defender Josh Mullins on a one‑month loan from Championship side Watford.

    The 20‑year‑old joins the Stones after successful spells at Bedford Town, where he helped the club secure back‑to‑back promotions to National League North.

    Mullins has trained with Wealdstone for much of pre‑season, and manager Gary Waddock says the youngster has settled in well.

    "Josh has done very well in the time he's been with us, so we're really happy to get this across the line," Waddock told the club website., external

    Wealdstone have also announced the return of goalkeeper Endurance Johnson.

    The 22‑year‑old was part of the squad that reached last season's FA Trophy Final at Wembley, where they were beaten on penalties by Southend United.

    Southend United have signed midfielder Kyle McAdam on a two-year deal after he was released by Nottingham Forest.

    The 21-year-old was on loan at Northampton Town during the second half of last season before he left Forest when his contract expired.

    He made eight appearances for the Cobblers in League One last season.

    Boreham Wood have signed forward Danny Cashman on a season-long loan from League Two club Crawley Town.

    The 25-year-old came through the academy at Brighton and Hove Albion before joining Coventry City.

    Loan spells followed with Rochdale, Walsall and Altrincham before signing for Worthing where 28 goals in 79 appearances earned him a move to Crawley in June 2025.

    Boston United have signed striker Lennon Wheeldon, following his release from Championship side Derby County.

    The 20‑year‑old re‑joins the Pilgrims on a one‑year deal, with an option for a second, having previously spent three months on loan at the club during the 2024-25 season.

    Wheeldon also had a loan spell at South Shields last term, making 33 appearances and scoring five goals.

    He made three senior appearances for Derby before his release in May and had been on trial with League Two Northampton Town prior to agreeing his move to Boston.

  17. Eastleigh's new signing Drake out for seasonpublished at 11:49 BST 3 August

    Eastleigh defender Ben Drake is likely to miss the entire 2026-27 season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in a pre-season game.

    The 21-year-old only joined the Spitfires from Millwall last month, and sustained the injury during a game against Crawley Town last week.

    A club statement said there "is no definitive timescale" for the player's return but indicated that he is likely to miss the whole campaign.

    Drake made 22 appearances for Braintree Town in the National league last season.

    Boston United have signed experienced defender Niall Canavan on a one-year contract.

    The 35-year-old former Republic of Ireland under-21 international began his senior career with Scunthorpe United in the Championship.

    He played more than 150 league games for the Iron before moving on to Rochdale, Plymouth Argyle, Bradford City and Barrow.

    Goalkeeper Jack Sims has returned to Southend United as a free agent after leaving Sutton United.

    The 27-year-old was with the Shrimpers as a schoolboy but joined Blackpool at 16 and has gone on to play for Welling United and Braintree Town, who he helped to promotion through the National League South play-offs in 2024.

    Sims played 67 National League games for Sutton over the past two seasons.

    He has signed a one-year deal with the Essex club, with the club retaining an option for a second season.
