Sutton United have re-signed striker Osman Foyo on loan for the rest of the season from AFC Wimbledon.

Foyo was on loan at the club earlier this season and made two appearances in November, but his stay was ended after he was handed an additional suspension by the Football Association for breaching betting rules.

He subsequently served three months of a five-month ban, with two months suspended for 24 months, which will only be activated if a further breach of betting rules takes place.

The 21-year-old was part of the AFC Wimbledon side that won promotion at the end of last season to League One, making 10 appearances.

Boston United have signed former Leeds United and Northampton Town forward Liam McCarron on a short-term contract until the end of the season.

McCarron, 24, began his career with Carlisle before moving to Elland Road where he made one Premier League appearance as a substitute in a 4-1 home defeat by Arsenal in December 2021.

He then had spells with Stoke City and Port Vale before joining the Cobblers for the 2024-25 season, where he made 21 appearances and scored twice in all competitions.

McCarron is set for his Boston debut in their National League game against Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday [19:45 GMT].

Struggling Morecambe have signed experienced defender Liam Hogan from National League rivals Rochdale on an 18-month contract.

The 37-year-old, who captained Salford City to promotion into the English Football League in 2018-19, has 465 senior appearances to his name.

He was a regular for Rochdale last season but has enjoyed limited opportunities during the current campaign and has chosen to make the switch.

"In the moment that Morecambe are in, I feel like my attributes - my experience and my time in this league will be good - especially off the back of a really good win at the weekend," Hogan told the club's website., external

"Coming from Rochdale, it's a little bit bittersweet in terms of I've left a really good group there and I wish them all the very best."

Morecambe, who beat Eastleigh 4-0 on Saturday, travel to Gateshead on Wednesday.

Southend United boss Kevin Maher says Noor Husin is being given plenty of support by the club as he continues his rehab following a long-term injury.

The Afghan midfielder recently admitted trying to deal with the mental side of the situation was as tough as the physical aspect, external following two operations since he damaged a cruciate ligament against Halifax Town in September.

"I had a real honest conversation with him the other day about what he's feeling, how he's feeling," Maher told BBC Essex.

"When you get to know Noor, the person he is, he's quiet, introverted, quite shy - though he doesn't come across that way when he crosses the white line, of course.

"When you go through that as a player, that can be a dark place for players at times.

"It's important he has the right support around him and is looked after properly because he's done so much for this club.

"He was a huge part of the squad and the lads love him to bits. We're here for him any time he needs us.

"It's sometimes difficult because there's so much going on and when you're injured it can be a lonely place so it's important you have the right structures around you."

Southend are also without club captain Nathan Ralph following knee surgery, but go into Tuesday's home game against Boreham Wood in the National League play-off places.

Ex-Gateshead player Curtis Edwards has joined Swedish side Ostersunds on a two-year contract.

Midfielder Edwards, 32, left Gateshead last week by mutual contract, having played 23 games following a free transfer from Notts County last August.

He now returns to Ostersunds for a second spell, having previously played there under current Sweden head coach Graham Potter.
