Chelsea 0-0 Luton
Luton are knocking it about nicely when they get the chance.
I should say they have the longest unbeaten run in the top four divisions with 15.

The long throw is partially cleared from the Chelsea box and falls really nicely for Benedict Benagr to strike.
He never looks confident and it's a proper good swing of the weaker foot.
Out for a throw-in.
Chelsea 0-0 Luton
Nice from Luton.
Callum Marshall swivels in the middle and plays the ball out right and Luton gain some territory deep in the Chelsea half.

On Chelsea signing goalkeeper Emi Martinez from Aston Villa...
I think it's a great signing, big personality and he's an outstanding goalkeeper. Bottom line, is he an upgrade on Robert Sanchez? He absolutely is so the signing makes sense.
I think there will be Chelsea fans around the world who will be absolutely made up with it.

Boos for Valentin Barco from the travelling fans.
He'll probably have to get used to that.

Cole Palmer makes the dart into the box and Morgan Rogers finds him, but it's just got too much on the pass and Palmer can only fire into the side netting.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has switched to a back four to face Luton.
Reece James and debutant Valentin Barco are anchoring midfield.
Like Fernandez on Monday, Argentine Barco is being targeted with boos from the rival support at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea 0-0 Luton
A small win for Benedict Benagr, who wins his first battle against Estevao.
Chelsea 0-0 Luton
I was surprised to see Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers both start tonight but why not when there's no European football?
They will both be searching for full fitness and you only get it by playing games.

We're under way at Stamford Bridge.
I hope we all have a nice time.

Luton boss Jack Wilshere speaking to Sky Sports on Chelsea's strong line-up: "We have to suffer, that's clear. We are going to do that together and do it really well. Am I surprised? No. It's Xabi's first game at the Bridge so he obviously wants to show the fans what he is about and what the team is about.
"We have to be ready for that, it's going to be difficult of course it is. I want to see a team with courage. We could lose this game tonight but I want to see that the players are brave that they want to take the ball, that we stick together and defend together. That's all we can ask."
On facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as a manager: "Really good for me, as a young coach to come here and compete against a top coach and a top player who I admired a lot. Good opportunity for everyone tonight to see where we're at."

Morgan Rogers started his Chelsea career with a bang on Monday night with a goal on his competitive debut.
The £117m man looked like he'd been playing for the Blues for years and linked brilliantly with good mate Cole Palmer.
I have a feeling we'll be seeing this celebration a few more times this season.

There is a large contingent of travelling Luton supporters in the Shed End at Stamford Bridge.
Manager Jack Wilshere made a special effort to acknowledge the support before the match by coming out early when there rest of the squads are all in the tunnel.

Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso speaking to Sky Sports on Enzo Fernandez not being in the squad: "We assess the situation, individual and collective and today we have decided this was the squad for tonight."
On whether he hopes to have clarity on the situation: "Let's see, we need to be prepared for everything and today it's focus on the game."
On why he has named a strong line-up: "We want to take all the competitions seriously. All of them this year are a target for us. For each game we chose the best competitive team that we think and this one is good enough to go through."

I'm not overly surprised [by Chelsea's strong line-up] because they don't have European football.
Xabi Alonso got off to a brilliant start in the west London derby beating Fulham on their own patch so why not go strong and just try and get the team into a winning rhythm.
I'm more disappointed with Jack Wilshere making as many changes as he has for Luton, they've had a reasonable start to the season.
Making a lot of changes he's sort of saying he's going to prioritise the league. They've got five league games in 15 games coming up so I sort of get it.
I'd rather Luton have gone as strong as they possibly could. That probably wouldn't have been enough against the talent that Chelsea have in their team.
Chelsea v Luton (19:30 BST)
Unlike fellow League One side AFC Wimbledon, Luton have kicked off their season in fine fashion.
A win and a draw sits Luton in third place as they search for a place back in the Championship.
Can former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere cause an almighty upset?

Robert Sanchez hasn't been convincing as a Chelsea goalkeeper, this is his fourth season.
There has always been this debate that Chelsea need an upgrade in that position. Emi Martinez has been strongly linked - I think he would be an upgrade.
Young Mike Penders gets his opportunity, 21 years old, he's a big guy at six foot seven so let's see how he does.

News just in is that Chelsea have agreed a £7.5m deal to sign goalkeeper Emi Martinez from Aston Villa.
A needed upgrade in goal?

Jude Bellingham's best mate Valentin Barco is making his Chelsea debut tonight.

It's time we get to see Danny Welbeck in a Chelsea shirt.
The signing of the 35-year-old from Brighton raised a few eyebrows but he certainly knows where the net is.
