Everton's transfer window, which has been described by many as chaotic, will no doubt be the hot topic.

There is too much going on at the Hill Dickinson Stadium to fit into one post, so let's have a little recap on what has been a turbulent summer in the blue half of Liverpool...

A final word from Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa on right-back Kenny Tete, who saw a potential move to Everton fall through: "He's very happy to be here in another season. He has experience, he knows perfectly the club primarily and of course he will be another player who has been doing so great during the first season. So yeah, we're happy with him."

Alvaro Arbeloa on what new signings Hugo Larsson and Manuel Angel bring to the Fulham squad: "They both are number eight in that position. They are the type of players that we need because we have players that can play there. They are specific players that play there like a number eight. So I felt that we needed something there and both players are quality players that I think they will improve us."

On David Affengruber: "He is strong, he has pace, he is very good with the ball, he understands the game very well. I think he will help us a lot in the centre-back position. So yes, he has experience, he is young but with experience."

On whether it is too early to see these players in Saturday's game: "Be patient with these three players. They need to understand what we want from them."

Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa started with an update on injuries: "The players are all ready expect Tom Cairney."

The captain has been sidelined since the start of the 2026–27 season after undergoing a "minor surgical procedure" on his left knee.

Alvaro Arbeloa lost his first two Premier League games as Fulham manager - at home to Chelsea and away to Sunderland.

The former Real Madrid coach stepped into the role following the departure of Marco Silva.

I am sure David Moyes has been here before Adrian. Readers, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't he have a similar issue during his first stint as Everton boss, and ended up playing midfielders Tim Cahill and Marouane Fellaini as impromptu strikers?

"It will be a big challenge for us, but also a good challenge to see what we can do."

Coventry City

After a busy summer of comings and goings at Coventry City, Frank Lampard is now focusing on the players he has left in his squad: "Happy with the players we've brought in. We had a lot of work to do in the summer, which is normal for teams that get promoted. We've done the work and it's nice from my point of view that the window is finished and we can focus on the squad."

Asked if there were any areas in the squad that he would have liked to address: "No. We're where we are."

Coventry City

The Coventry City boss also spoke about Oliver Dovin, Raphael and Liam Kitching leaving the club on loan: "Ollie Dovin needs to play games. He's fit with 18 months of not playing regularly. It's what is best for him, he is a high talent goalkeeper. We're trying to take the right care with him to play games, show what he's got and come back to us.

"Raphael needs games too. It's purely the best thing for him and for us for him to play regularly.

"It's a bit different with Kitching. He has been a huge part of the journey for us and was incredible for us last season. We wish him well to go and play games, he is a player who wants to play regularly. Sheffield United have got themselves a very good player and a strong leader."

Coventry City

Frank Lampard spoke highly about Stephen Mfuni, who has joined Coventry on loan from Saturday's opponents Manchester City: "High talent level. Versatile to play in different areas the back. A really good profile

"He's been really imrpessive in his demeanour and how he's come in to the training ground. Very nice lad and very confident in a good way. He has fitted in very well.

"I like young players like that because they bring a youthful energy and a nat quality coming from the Manchester City academy, with waht he will have been exposed to there. It's a real positive for us."

Coventry City

Coventry City boss Frank Lampard on trying to get the squad to 'gel' now the transfer window is shut: "When you bring players in - some who were brought in towards the end of the window - we're trying to not only get them acclimatised to how we play.

"There's also some individual cases of fitness. Unfortunately, when some players are in a moment of transfer speculation, maybe they're not playing in pre-season games or training at a certain level. There are some players we need to get up to speed."
