  1. England need to up the intensity - Whitepublished at 19:10 BST

These games are so challenging. When you're playing a team ranked significantly lower than you, they're really hard games. That was their World Cup final [on Friday]. They're doing absolutely everything at home to put you under pressure, to disrupt your play, to make you feel very frustrated.

It's just that we needed to be a lot higher intensity, be able to control the momentum a bit better, be able to stop them going longer, putting higher pressure on the ball. But those things are work-ons, as well, especially when we play better opposition.

Overall, it was a good result to take to Leicester. Ultimately it's a 3-1 win, it's half time, and hopefully they can do the business at the King Power.

A 3-1 victory is a pleasing result, but given the gulf in class, Wiegman admitted frustrations at not keeping a clean sheet and there were familiar lapses in concentration defensively that gave Greece opportunities to pounce.

Those chances came from England errors and the lack of clean sheet means the door remains open for Greece in the second leg.

"Sometimes we played really well and sometimes we were a bit sloppy. We were a bit frustrated as we wanted to do that better," said Wiegman.

"We want to show more than winning, we want to play really well too."

If England get through this tie, Ukraine will be standing between the Lionesses and a place at next year's World Cup.

Ukraine held a 3-1 lead over Slovakia after the first leg of their play-off and they stretched their advantage just before half-time in the second leg, which was played earlier today, with a goal from Veronika Andrukhiv.

It finished 1-0 to Ukraine in the second leg, with them advancing with a 4-1 aggregate victory.

England or Greece would be deemed as the away team for the first leg of the play-off final, but it would not take place in Ukraine because of the ongoing war with Russia.

The Lionesses played Ukraine twice in their qualifying group, winning 6-1 in Turkey in March and then 3-0 at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium in June.

The two-legged play-off final will take place at the end of November and the start of December.

England manager Sarina Wiegman, asked by ITV about Lexi Potter, making her first start for the Lionesses tonight:

"What I hope she'll bring is what she's shown for Chelsea and at training sessions. We had a couple where she really she impressed me, the staff, and the team. I hope she can show that tonight."

When the reporter suggested that Potter is 'a rising star', Wiegman said:

"Let's not make that too big straight away. She's done really well. She is a big talent. We have some more in England and in the squad. I think she deserved her spot."

England claimed a 3-1 victory against Greece on Friday, but they were left to rue missed opportunities that could have helped them build a bigger advantage.

It was not a convincing performance from Sarina Wiegman's side and they conceded in the second half, which gives Greece some hope for tonight's second leg.

Arsenal midfielder Georgia Stanway broke the deadlock just before the interval, while Maya le Tissier and Alessia Russo extended patient England's lead in the second half as Greece started to tire.

However, a lapse in concentration defensively allowed Kallisti Brouksair to fire home.

I had a sneaky feeling that Lexi Potter could get her chance in this international break but I'm still surprised to see her in the starting XI.

Sarina Wiegman rarely throws in young players in big fixtures but that is how impressive Potter has been for Chelsea that she trusts her.

The 20-year-old has built a very encouraging partnership with Keira Walsh and has allowed her to push higher up the pitch.

It's something Wiegman has wanted Walsh to do more of recently so is she hoping Potter is the key to achieving it?

Potter has played in some big games for Chelsea this season and has more than stood up to the challenge so hopefully she can do so again.

She will have an important role to play in stopping the Greece counter-attacks. Let's see how she does!

  11. Team news - Potter handed full debutpublished at 18:48 BST

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport women’s football news reporter at King Power Stadium

Sarina Wiegman said she would make changes to the England team from their 3-1 first leg victory and she has made two.

One is very interesting as 20-year-old Lexi Potter is given a full debut just days after receiving her first England senior call-up.

The Chelsea midfielder has formed a fantastic partnership with Keira Walsh at club level so can they translate that onto the international scene?

Elsewhere, Jess Carter comes in for Esme Morgan in defence, while it's Laura Blindkilde Brown who drops out for Potter.

England XI: Hampton, Le Tissier, Williamson, Carter, Greenwood, Walsh, Stanway, Potter, Russo, James, Hemp.

Subs: Charles, Keating, Blindkilde Brown, Morgan, Fisk, Park, Clinton, Mead, Parkinson, Moorhouse, Godfrey, Toone.

There are three changes to the Greece team who suffered defeat in Crete on Friday.

Birmingham City midfielder Veatriki Sarri is among those in the starting XI to watch out for, while Ioanna Papatheodorou was very dangerous in the first leg.

Greece XI: Katergiannaki, Giannaka, Gouni, Markou, Paterna, Brame, Sarri, Moraitou, Saich, Papatheodorou, Brouksair.
