Shame we didn’t replace Enzo, but overall, I’m very happy with Chelsea’s summer window.

Can Enzo Fernandez replicate the success of some of his Argentine compatriots at Manchester City?
It's certainly a pretty decent list which includes Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Pablo Zabaleta.
Image source, Getty ImagesArgentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez joined Chelsea in February 2023 for a then British record £107m.
He won the Conference League and Fifa Club World Cup under now City boss Enzo Maresca.
“I pride myself on continually improving my game. Anyone who’s worked with me will know how hard I train every single day and how much I put into matches," he said.
"I give absolutely everything and I can promise Manchester City that will continue now I’m here.
“I want to thank Hugo, Enzo, Khaldoon and everyone at City who has made this deal possible. I want to take the faith shown in me and repay it as soon as possible."
Image source, Manchester CityThe £125m that Manchester City have shelled out on Enzo Fernandez makes him the joint record Premier League signing - level with Alexander Isak from Newcastle to Liverpool last year.
It is also the joint third biggest transfer ever - only behind PSG signing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in 2017.
Enzo Fernandez posted that goodbye message on his social media channels around 40 minutes ago and we've been waiting for official confirmation of his arrival at the Etihad.
The Argentine joins City on a five-year deal.
Ironically that means his contract at City is due to end at the same time that his Chelsea contract would have ended. Fernandez signed an eight-year deal with the Blues in 2023.
Image source, Manchester CityManchester City's latest signing Enzo Fernandez said "every player wants to be part of a club like this" and he "could not be happier" joining Enzo Maresca's side.
"I am ready for the challenge of helping City continue winning trophies. This is a club built for success," he said.
“If you look across the squad, City have quality in every area. I want to learn from my new team-mates and become a better player."
Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
The Argentine has joined the club for £125m.

The Spain Under-21 international came from Real Madrid's academy before joining the German side last summer.
He played 41 times for Stuttgart in all competitions.

Finally a bit of late TDD drama, it's been sorely lacking for a few years.

Sources suggest Chelsea had time to stop Enzo Fernandez's deal to Manchester City but they preferred to honour their word.
The feeling at Stamford Bridge is they fell victim to an extraordinary and unprofessional situation.
Just to note, Manchester City are yet to announce Enzo Fernandez's signing.

After all the intrigue surrounding Everton's deal for AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun, it seems the Toffees are now on course to complete the transfer.
The switch was thrown into question by a report from France saying Balogun had failed his medical, the waters being muddied further by Everton's surprise move to sign Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee on loan.
The word from Merseyside now is that move is very much on and a deal sheet was put in before the window closed at 11pm, allowing Everton further time to complete the formalities.
Image source, Getty ImagesWe've already had Enzo Fernandez say goodbye to Chelsea fans on social media, now it's Tosin Adarabioyo's turn...
Adarabioyo said: "2 trophies, 2 unforgettable years. Thank you to my team-mates, the staff and fans for all the moments we shared. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside one of the most honest and hard-working groups I’ve met in my career.
"A special thank you to everyone behind the scenes. The people at the stadium and training ground who give everything to allow the players the best chance to succeed. Those medals belong to you too. It’s been a privilege. Wishing you all the best Unc"
Am I just saying that as the person who usually does the late shift on transfer deadline day and could be on until 2am tonight? Hard to say.
You'd think teams having the whole summer to sign players and then the whole final day until 11pm would be enough...

I think we'll be okay without Camara. We've Caicedo, Lavia, James, Barco and Henderson when he's back, plus Hato and Gusto can fill in sometimes. And I'm sure Rogers and Palmer are capable of dropping into central midfield in a pinch. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

There is a lot of anger from Burnley fans towards their owners for selling Zian Flemming - who had scored three goals in four games this season.
