  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:35 BST 6 August

    Benfica 2-0 Heart of Midlothian

Calvin Miller has done it again, chesting a ball down on the wing and flicking it past his marker.

He then chops inside on his left and is caught - and Hearts have a free-kick. Gianluca Prestianni is booked as well.

The cross comes in... and Laurent Mendy rattles the bar and nobody there is to connect with the loose ball inside a crowded six-yard box! So close!

  3. Postpublished at 20:32 BST 6 August

    Benfica 2-0 Heart of Midlothian

Occasionally, there's been some really nice play from Hearts.

This time, it's Calvin Miller who spins his man in the middle of the Hearts half. The ball is then booted long, but still. Small wins.

  4. Postpublished at 20:32 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Shkendija look keen to play the ball quickly every time they get it, but Hibs are defending well for now.

David Gray's side have looked good in forward areas too but are yet to cause the visitors any real issues.

  5. Postpublished at 20:31 BST 6 August

    Benfica 2-0 Heart of Midlothian

Another Benfica corner is floated on to the head of captain Tomas Araujo and he powers his header just wide as he looks for his own second goal.

Hearts look so vulnerable from set pieces this season.

  6. How will Vrancken react?published at 20:26 BST 6 August

Twenty-three minutes in and I'm looking at Wouter Vrancken. What's he going to do? What's he going to change?

If this continues, I've got the fear. It could a heavy defeat - and a psychological one.

  7. Finely poisedpublished at 20:25 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Easter Road

It was a tentative start from Hibernian, but they're starting to up the tempo and threat and the crowd are beginning to see signs that something might happen soon.

That said, one or two moments suggest Shkendija are capable of doing some damage at the other end.

    Finely poised.

  8. Poor defendingpublished at 20:24 BST 6 August

Nothing special about the second goal for the hosts. Just really poor defending.

  9. goal

GOAL BENFICA 2-0 Heart of Midlothianpublished at 20:24 BST 6 August

    Tomas Araujo

And they finally make the breakthrough again!

And it's too easy from Hearts as they concede from a corner - they did that a few times against Sturm Graz.

This time, Araujo beats Blair Spittal in the air and nods into the corner, although Beau Reus got a decent touch to it. Could he have done better?

  10. Postpublished at 20:22 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Beau Reus is busy again, as the Hearts goalkeeper tips the ball over the bar after a looping header from Leandro Barreiro.

Reus means 'giant' in Dutch, I'm told.

  11. Postpublished at 20:21 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Your connection isn't broken, Benfica just haven't had a shot for a couple of minutes.

To be honest, Hearts have actually managed to get up the pitch a few times, but their two advances came to nowt.

They're getting a bit more of a foothold... just a bit.

  12. Postpublished at 20:20 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Josh Mulligan plays a lovely ball into the Shkendija box for Martin Boyle and the forward manages to get a shot away, but Aleksander Trumci slides in to block and send it behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

Owen Elding then has a pop from distance, but the ball is just wide of the far post.

  13. Better from Heartspublished at 20:20 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Andy Halliday
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Hearts are looking much more composed.

A really promising last five minutes.

  14. Postpublished at 20:14 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Hibs striker Nathan Lowe is bundled to the ground by two Shkendija players and wins the hosts a free-kick halfway inside the visitors' half.

Adam Mayor delivers and Jason Kerr gets a head to it, but it's the slightest of touches from the defender and the ball goes out for another goal kick.

  15. Hearts can't continue like thispublished at 20:14 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Andy Halliday
Former Rangers, Hearts & Motherwell midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Hearts are trying to be compact in their 4-4-2.

But they are far too easy to play through.

Do you sacrifice a Braga and bring him into midfield? They can't continue like this.

  16. Postpublished at 20:12 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Gianluca Prestianni skips past Jordi Altena far too easily on the left and the Argentine forward himself through on goal. Thankfully for Hearts, Beau Reus saves at close range.

Altena has been targeted early on by Benfica.

  17. Top-class hostspublished at 20:10 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland in Lisbon

It's clear to see that this Benfica team are a class above Hearts. Even in these early stages, they have been able to cut open the visitors defence time after time.

And, when they lose possession, they go hunting to get the ball back. A top-class team.

  18. Postpublished at 20:09 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Hibs have an attempt of their own as Jason Kerr races into the box in an attempt to get a touch on Adam Mayor's cross.

The defender can't get a decent contact and the ball goes behind for a goal kick to the visitors.

  19. Postpublished at 20:08 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Fabrice Tamba tries to get the visitors in front with a strike from the edge of the Hibs box, but the midfielder's low effort is wide of the target.

  20. Postpublished at 20:07 BST 6 August

    Benfica 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Another chance for Benfica as the ball is worked to the right, where Leandro Barreiro has room to shoot.

He tries to laser it low, but big Beau Reus is down quickly.

    The signs are ominous.
