  1. goal

GOAL HIBERNIAN 2-1 Shkendijapublished at 21:48 BST 6 August

    Warren O'Hora

Hibs look to have won it as the minutes run down at Easter Road.

Jordan Obita sends a Hibs corner towards the back post and Warren O'Hora is there to tap in an attempted clearance by the visitors

  2. Schjelderup the creatorpublished at 21:47 BST 6 August

    Benfica 5-1 Heart of Midlothian

    Andy Halliday
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

World class from Schjelderup with the pick out.

That shows how quickly this Benfica side can turn it on.

  3. goal

GOAL Benfica 5-1 HEART OF MIDLOTHIANpublished at 21:46 BST 6 August

    Jhon Duran

Just when you thought Hearts would return to Edinburgh with a scoreline that gave them an outside hope of an unlikely comeback, it disappears after a swift Benfica counter.

Jhon Duran sweeps it home from just inside the penalty box for the striker's first goal for the hosts.

  4. Postpublished at 21:44 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothian

Ginaluca Prestianni is off for Benfica, much to the delight of Hearts' right-back Jordi Altena. The Dutchman was run ragged by the little Argentine all night.

Sabri Guendouz is also on - he replaced Pierre Landry Kabore a few minutes ago.

  5. Postpublished at 21:43 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 1-1 Shkendija

Miguel Chaiwa loses possession in the middle of the pitch and has to rely on defender Jason Kerr to bail him out of trouble as the midfielder robs Fabrice Tamba of the ball inside the Hibs penalty area.

Still around five minutes to play at Easter Road and you've got to feel Hibs really need another goal to take into the second leg.

  6. Big, noisy crowdpublished at 21:40 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothian

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland in Lisbon

The official attendance this evening is 60,776. A terrific atmosphere as well in a top-class stadium.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:38 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothian

Tom Renaud catches a volley sweetly on the edge of the box as a corner is cleared and the French midfielder watches his shot clip off the top of the Benfica bar.

    Sacre bleu.

  8. YELLOW CARD Bah (Benfica)published at 21:38 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts have another free-kick as Alexander Bah is booked for taking down substitute James McPake, who has just come on to make his debut.

The former St Johnstone winger does well to show Bah a clean pair of heels and the Danish defender cynically pulls him to the deck.

The free-kick comes to nothing, though.

  9. Postpublished at 21:34 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothian

And now Hearts have a free-kick on the edge of the box!

This is scarcely believable stuff. It was Blair Spittal who was fouled - and the midfielder stands over it.

But his effort is just wide.

  10. goal

GOAL Hibernian 1-1 SHKENDIJApublished at 21:33 BST 6 August

    Marko Gjorgievski

Well, that lead didn't last long!

It's really poor defending from Hibs and substitute forward Marko Gjorgievski gets away from his marker to send the ball into the far corner and level the game.

  11. Best goal of the five?published at 21:33 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothian

    Andy Halliday
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Dare I say it's the best goal of the five! Incredible football from Hearts.

What a touch out of his feet and what a finish from Renaud.

Is it a consolation? Do Hearts go for another?

    I didn't see that coming.

  12. goal

GOAL HIBERNIAN 1-0 Shkendijapublished at 21:31 BST 6 August

    Owen Elding

Hibs make the breakthrough as the two Edinburgh sides score in unison.

It's great work from substitute Callum Wright, who skips past two defenders before playing a pass back across goal and into the feet of Owen Elding - and he makes no mistake from close range.

  13. goal

GOAL Benfica 4-1 Heart of Midlothianpublished at 21:30 BST 6 August

    Tom Renaud

The fightback begins? A bit of positivity at least as Hearts' Tom Renaud sweeps home a reply.

That came out of nowhere really, but suddenly Hearts linked up nicely on the right, swept it out to Renaud, and he arrowed it into the corner for his first Hearts goal.

The fans have got their moment!

  14. Postpublished at 21:27 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Nice work from Hibs again, Owen Elding laying off to Nathan Lowe and the striker's shot is turned behind for a corner.

Hibs work it back out wide and Felix Passlack sends another cross in. This one is headed goalwards by Jason Kerr, but the defender can't direct the ball on target.

Hibs seem to be sparking into life a wee bit now.

  15. Postpublished at 21:26 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-0 Heart of Midlothian

Benfica fire another effort at goal.

This one comes from Jhon Duran - yes, that one - on of three top-class substitutes brought on a couple of minutes ago.

The former Aston Villa forward drills it low, but goalkeeper Beau Reus was down well.

  16. CLOSE!published at 21:25 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

The first real opportunity of the second half for Hibs comes from Felix Passlack.

The defender's low drilled shot is deflected off a Shkendija player and straight into the arms of goalkeeper Ferat Ramani.

Up the other end, Hibs have to send behind a Shkendija cross for a corner.

  17. Postpublished at 21:21 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-0 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts are almost away on the break, but Enzo Barrenechea slides back to deny Pierre Landry Kabore a free run at goal from the halfway line.

Almost a moment to remember for the travelling fans.

  18. Double change for Hibspublished at 21:21 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

Striker Ante Suto is on for Martin Boyle as Hibs look to make some changes.

Midfielder Callum Wright is on too. He replaces defender Adam Mayor.

This game is crying out for a bit of magic.

  19. 'A devastating finish'published at 21:19 BST 6 August

    Benfica 4-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Andy Halliday
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

The pass isn't on and it's cut out straight away.

It's there for Pretianni to touch, set and whip it in.

Nothing Beau Reus can do about that. It's devastating - what a finish.

  20. Postpublished at 21:18 BST 6 August

    Hibernian 0-0 Shkendija

This second half is shaping up in much the same way as the first, both teams getting forward without causing any real through.

In fact, Josh Mulligan has just leathered a shot high over the Shkendija crossbar.
