They rejected a second bid from Besiktas, but they may yet return, as the Turkish transfer deadline is on Friday, 4 September.

Surely, given that a recognised central midfielder wasn't brought in today, he won't be going anywhere?

Killie have now confirmed the aforementioned signing of MJ Kamson-Kamara.

The 20-year-old will be at the club from tomorrow to "meet and train with his new teammates before travelling to Aberdeen for our next fixture."

It is a six-month loan deal.

Jalmaro Calvin has left St Mirren by mutual consent, the club have confirmed.

The forward penned a two-year deal last summer which was due to expire in the summer of 2027 with the club holding an option to extend by a further 12 months.

The 23-year-old joined the Buddies from Jamaican outfit Cavalier FC last summer and went on to make 11 appearances for the Paisley club, scoring one goal.

Three of those appearances came this term in the League Cup, as did his goal, but the winger hasn't been part of the squad for any Premiership game.

Kilmarnock are closing in on a loan deal for Hearts defender MJ Kamson-Kamara.

Hearts signed the defender in the summer from Lincoln City following a loan spell at Glentoran.

With an injury to Robbie Deas and defensive issues apparent, Neil McCann will be keen to shore up the squad's backline.

St Johnstone have signed Hibs player Josh Campbell on a season-long loan deal.

Campbell has made 184 appearances for the Easter Road club, scoring 23 goals with 20 assists.

“I would like to wish Josh the very best with this loan move," Hibs head coach David Gray said.

“I have known Josh for a very long time and watched him grow up and develop as a player over the years.

"During that time he has scored some big goals for us and provided some big moments over the years."

Rangers have announced the signing of striker Kevin Kelsy on a four-year deal with the option for an additional year.

Across 63 appearances for Portland Timbers, he scored 19 goals and registered five assists.

Kelsey spent two title-winning seasons with Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, scoring nine goals in 37 appearances.

He made his first move to Major League Soccer with a loan spell at FC Cincinnati in April 2024, netting six times in 23 outings, before Portland Timbers signed him in January 2025.

Rangers have completed the signing of Stuttgart winger Badredine Bouanani on loan.

21-year-old Algerian international Bouanani moved to Germany from Nice last summer and has scored two goals and provided two assists for Stuttgart.

Dundee United are confident of signing midfielder Zidane Iqbal before the 17:00 deadline.

The former Manchester United youth player will join on a two-year permanent deal from Utrecht, with a one-year option.

The 23-year-old, also an Iraq international, made one appearance for Manchester United before moving to the Dutch league.

As an interesting note, he has two million followers on Instagram... Dundee United have just under 57,000

St Johnstone have signed Wales under-21 international Joel Cotterill on a one-year permanent deal from Swansea.

If the name sounds familiar, Cotterill spent the second-half of last season on loan at Dundee.

He has also spent time on loan at Stockport County, Swindon Town and Bristol Rovers.

“I had a call with the gaffer on Monday and he told me everything about the club," he said.

“I watched the game against Dundee on Wednesday night – and I saw how the team wants to play.

“Growing up at Swansea, it was always a team with the ball. I feel my biggest strength is being in possession and making things happen. I also like to drive forward and like to think I can be powerful with the ball.”
