Feyenoord have won their past four games in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and conceding just once

Cesc Fabregas' Como tasted defeat in the Champions League for the first time as Feyenoord came from behind to win an engrossing contest in Rotterdam.

Assane Diao gave the Italian side an 18th-minute lead when he ran on to a long ball, shrugged off a defender and finished into the bottom corner of Tjark Ernst's goal.

But Feyenoord trailed for just 127 seconds - midfielder Gjivai Zechiel finished off a slick team move by rifling past Como goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from the edge of the penalty area.

The hosts took the lead six minutes after the break when Anis Hadj Moussa cut in from the right flank and arrowed a low strike in at Sanchez's near post.

Tasos Douvikas should have brought Como level minutes after coming off the bench, but the Greek striker headed over unmarked less than 12 yards from goal.

Nico Paz sent a shot from the edge of the area whistling wide as Como pushed for a leveler, before a Hadj Moussa strike bounced in off the back of Sanchez after hitting the post.

Douvikas ran on to a through-ball and finished well past Ernst in the third minute of injury-time, but it was not enough.

Despite creating the clearer opportunities on the night and looking the slicker side in possession, Como were unable to cope with Feyenoord's attacking transitions and paid the price.

Feyenoord are off the mark after losing 5-1 to Barcelona on matchday one, and will face another Spanish opponent in the form of Real Betis on Wednesday, 21 October (20:00 BST).

Como will host Manchester United earlier that day (17:45 BST), looking to add to the three points they earned by beating RB Leipzig 4-1 on their competition debut last month.
