Way better from Burnley.

Kyle Walker pinpoints Zian Flemming inbetween two defenders and gets up to take the header. His nod is too high but he's got a thumbs up for his team-mate.

That's what Burnley need to do more of. They are technically getting the chances but are so wasteful of them that it feels like West Ham don't even need to sweat.

Burnley are able to carve out an attack and it ends with Hannibal taking a shot in hope of a miracle. He doesn't produce one.

The hosts just don't seem to be able to find a way through West Ham.

West Ham are passing for fun at the moment. Very little pressing from Burnley as it stands.

21-year-old Max Alleyne is new at Burnley and he's probably quite disappointed to have conceded such a poor corner at the start of this half.

His clearance eases out of play after little pressure from West Ham.

Thankfully for him, it doesn't lead to a goal.

James Ward-Prowse was on loan at Burnley for the latter half of their Premier League campaign but he will have to play against his former team-mates here.

He's on in place of Pablo for West Ham in the second half.

This feels like West Ham's to see through.

Will that be the case? Time to find out.

As the Championship season kicks off, all eyes are on West Ham as we wait to see whether we can live up to expectations.

For West Ham, the ambition is clear. We have one season to get back into the Premier League, otherwise we risk losing our best players and dropping into the depths of the Championship.

I'd be really surprised if West Ham give up this advantage, they've been excellent.

Burnley were on top early on, but then it changed. West Ham's shape has been good and they've been good in possesion.

They get the goal and then I thought Burnley would respond, but West Ham controlled the tempo. The wide players have been excellent and the two full-backs have been great.

Nuno will be delighted with that.

Max Kilman's first West Ham goal puts them ahead in a comfortable half for the Hammers at Turf Moor.

Aaron Ramsey failed to keep track of the Hammers defender, allowing Kilman to get in front a nod in Jarrod Bowen's corner.

Since then, West Ham have been dominant, hogging possession.

There's been moments of doubt for the visitors but Burnley haven't been able to punish them and they are few and far between. Could be a long day for those hoping to see a close contest between the two.

Burnley defender Bashir Humphreys is shaking his head but he's done a good job to keep his man at bay and keep the damage to a corner.

Must be a frustrating watch for the home fans so far but fortunately they've only got one additional minute on this half to suffer.

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen can't quite get onto Manor Solomon's glorious pass into the box.

One touch and that's a goal.

Hannibal bursts forward but he hesitates on the pass and ends up getting swarmed to lose possession. To the great annoyance of his team-mates, I might add.

West Ham have settled into hard to beat team. They look resilient.

I like their attitude out of possession. When Burnley are counter attacking even the centre-forwards are back and that's a good sign.

Jacob Bruun Larsen slices a beautiful ball into Ugo Raghouber standing just outside the box but the Burnley midfielder's shot is wild.

The visiting fans feel their captain has won them a penalty as he tumbles in the box but the referee judges no foul on Jarrod Bowen.

West Ham defender Max Kilman seems as if he's gone to sleep, hardly moving a muscle to allow Zian Flemming a strike at goal.

Luckily for Kilman though, Flemming guides the ball left of goal.

Mohamadou Kante pulls Burnley's Bashir Humphreys back as the hosts look for the fast break.

The Hammers man doesn't even bother to hide the cynicism of that. He takes his yellow card on the chin.

The problem is that Burnley have not made enough passes since the goal and haven't got in the game.

They can't get on the ball and West Ham are blocking the passages.

Ugo Raghouber looks half a yard off the pace.

It needs an injection of pace. You've got to come up with different ways of playing - if you can't play through the middle play it down the sides.

It's all a bit slow from Burnley.
