London City Lionesses have had 12 shots, 26 touches in the box and an xG of 1.16 - but still no goals to show for it.

Remarkably, Ayaka Yamashita has only had to make one save for Manchester City.

That Mary Earps save was huge. You just thought it was going to be a goal.

We know she's got the ability to do that. The big character and the way she communicates with the back line is so important for games like today.

I don't see what's spectacular about this London City side apart from the fact they have spent big to try and buy trophies.

I'd like London City a bit more if they dropped the "Lionesses" bit .... Everyone knows it's belongs solely to England. And it sounds odd anyhow. What next? .... West Ham Wildebeest?

We know the pressure Renee Slegers is under. This would be huge.

They certainly shouldn't be in the position they're in.

Meanwhile in our other game, Arsenal had 12 shots across the first half. Aston Villa had just one, their goal.

It's been a brilliant first half. We knew it was going to be quite tight, it was going to be intense.

Both have had chances. London City will maybe be disappointed they don't go in at the break with a lead.

No goals but really, really enjoyable.

It's been a stunning first half from London City Lionesses and I can't believe I'm saying that for a 0-0 game.

They have been SO much better than Manchester City and could have been 4-0 or 5-0 up.

The amount of chances they have squandered... Nine shots inside the box and only two on target. Will they come to regret those?

@12:28 - Even if LCL qualify for the CL they will not be able to take part as OL Lyonnes will win the French league and also qualify. Highest position from the same stable is the team that can take part.

Another chance wasted by London City Lionesses.

They are carving through Manchester City's defence like butter, but it's just that final motion that's causing problems. Jana Fernandez's hit was well wide there.

How has there not been a goal in this game?

Another nice move from London City Lionesses ends up with Kadidiatou Diani, unmarked in the box. The French winger takes the strike first time but Alex Greenwood gets across and makes the block, which takes it over the bar.
