Pretty sad to see the decline of Alisson in front of our eyes. He’ll always be a legend, but it is time.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Fenerbahce 3-2 Liverpool

A chance for the hosts to run the clock down a little as Bradley Barcola is adjudged to have fouled N'Golo Kante. The Liverpool man did not like that decision.

Meanwhile, Lewis Koumas is sent on for Trey Nyoni just before Fenerbahce win a free-kick on the edge of the Liverpool box. Alexis Mac Allister is shown a yellow card.

  4. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Fenerbahce 3-2 Liverpool

Cody Gakpo goes for goal from 25 yards but his shot flies harmlessly over.

Fenerbahce will be happy if Liverpool are restricted to efforts like that between now and the final whistle.

Brilliant header. When the ball comes in, I just think it's in the air for a very long time, and I'm looking at my goalkeeper and I'm thinking where is Alisson!?

The goalkeeper has to come for that.

  7. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Fenerbahce 3-2 Liverpool

Fenerbahce, as you'd expect, have dropped in now, trying to protect their lead.

Liverpool come forward and a Virgil van Dijk header is saved by Ederson.

  8. 'The softest goal yet'published at 19:27 GMT

    Fenerbahce 3-2 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

That was the softest goal yet. There is no physical challenge by a Liverpool player when the ball came in - they were far too weak - and why is Alisson not coming out to claim it?

Incredible scenes. The defending is awful from Liverpool but Fenerbahce deserve so much credit for the way they've kept going and going. This place is rocking.

    Vedat Muriqi

    Fenerbahce have turned it around!

The long throw was headed back to Archie Brown, he looped the ball back into the box and, with three Liverpool defenders around him, Vedat Muriqi gets it head on it to beat Alisson.

The stadium erupts and Liverpool have got worked to do.

Well, AEK Athens' lead didn't last for long.

  12. Postpublished at 79 mins

Fenerbahce threaten again and Alisson has to be quick off his line to avert the danger.

The home side remain on the attack, though, with an Archie Brown long throw...

  13. 'There was definitely no shout'published at 19:23 GMT

    Fenerbahce 2-2 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

That's another soft goal conceded by Liverpool but this one was more down to Alisson not coming to claim the ball - and either cleaning out Gakpo or letting him know he is coming.

I just watched the replay and there was definitely no shout... that's a lack of concentration from the goalkeeper, and it has cost his side.

Villa mopped the floor with this Fenerbache side. "Rebuild season", side in "transition", call it what you will. Absolutely no where near good enough from Liverpool considering the huge amount of money spent.

    Fenerbahce 2-2 Liverpool

    Ally McCoist
Former Scotland striker on TNT Sports

It's a lack of communication with Alisson. I think it's Gakpo the ball just comes off, and then it leaves Brown at the back post with the simplest of tasks.

It's a nice reverse ball from Kante

  16. Postpublished at 77 mins

Liverpool found themselves hanging on a bit in the first half after conceding the equaliser but they're back on the front foot this time, looking to hit the front for the third time.

AEK Athens are back in front!

It's been one-way traffic from Real Madrid since the re-start, but the hosts counter at pace and Aboubakary Koita picks out Stavros Pilios, who pokes the ball through Thibaut Courtois legs.
