  1. HALF-TIME Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistlepublished at 14:49 BST 16 August

Owen Elding's goal is the only thing separating these two at the break.

Hibs looked good value for their lead but grew sloppy after scoring and Thistle might feel frustrated not to have taken advantage.

Elding had an opportunity at the end of the half to extend the hosts' lead when he smashed his shot off the crossbar but they haven't troubled Thistle goalkeeper Liam McFarlane too much.

All to play for in the second half.

  2. HALF-TIME Stenhousemuir 0-0 Motherwellpublished at 14:49 BST 16 August

Little of note from Ochilview as we reach the interval.

Stenhousemuir started strongly and will be frustrated not to have grabbed an opener before Motherwell found their footing and grew into the game.

    Scrappy to say the least.

  3. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 16 August

    Hearts 1-0 Inverness CT

Decent chance for Inverness and Adam MacKinnon.

The midfielder collects the ball after a corner is headed away. He almost has to pause as referee Calum Scott gets out the way, but still gets his shot off - but it flies just over the bar.

  4. Postpublished at 14:45 BST 16 August

    Stenhousemuir 0-0 Motherwell

An end-to-end game has broken out now, Stenhousemuir's dominance has waned.

We're yet to have a clear-cut chance, mind you.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:45 BST 16 August

    Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistle

Owen Elding takes a touch and cannons an angled shot off the crossbar.

Nathan Lowe then tries to find a team-mate in the Thistle box but the visitors manage to scramble clear.

  6. 'Hibs off the pace'published at 14:38 BST 16 August

    Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistle

    Scott Allan
Former Hibs midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Hibs' intensity has dropped right off since they got the goal. They have let Thistle back into the game with some sloppy passing.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:35 BST 16 August

    Hearts 1-0 Inverness CT

Inches away from a second goal for Hearts.

Amadou Ba-Sy takes a brilliant touch in the box, after making a good run in behind the defence. He holds off the defenders and cuts the ball back to Sabah Kerjota, but the winger can only clip the crossbar from just six yards out.

  8. Postpublished at 14:34 BST 16 August

    Stenhousemuir 0-0 Motherwell

A succession of three Motherwell corners come to nothing, despite home goalkeeper Darren Jamieson flapping at the first one.

Each time, the visitors tried a short routine or a drilled low ball in, but none came off.

  9. Stenny on songpublished at 14:32 BST 16 August

    Stenhousemuir 0-0 Motherwell

    BBC Sport Scotland at Ochilview

We're well over halfway through the first period and it's the Championship side who've been on top so far.

Stenny keeper Darrien Jamieson has had absolutely nothing to do, while his opposite number Matty Connelly has been far busier.

'Well have been really scrappy in possession. The fringe players being given a chance to shine are failing to do so thus far. I suspect Alfred Johansson will send for the cavalry at the break if things don't improve.

Good from Stenhousemuir, though, fair play.

  10. Postpublished at 14:32 BST 16 August

    Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistle

Jack Iredale, attempting to clear, gives the ball straight back to the visitors but Seb Drozd's shot from the edge of the box is high over the crossbar.

  11. Postpublished at 14:31 BST 16 August

    Hearts 1-0 Inverness CT

Hearts work a set-piece move from a corner on the left and the ball is played to Calvin Miller.

He's on the penalty spot, with tonnes of time, but he fluffs the shot completely. Huge chance for a second goal for the hosts.

  12. Celeb-spottingpublished at 14:27 BST 16 August

    Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistle

It looks like Gordon Strachan is getting some tactical advice from author Irvine Welsh, with actor Dougray Scott looking on.

That chat would make a good Fringe show.

  13. Postpublished at 14:24 BST 16 August

    Stenhousemuir 0-0 Motherwell

Motherwell take too long on the ball in their own penalty box and Stenhouemuir almost steal take advantage.

Lewis Hodgkiss ghosts in but can't turn an Andrew Shinnie cut-back over the line before the referee peeps his whistle for a foul in the build-up.

Only one team looks like scoring so far.

  14. Postpublished at 14:24 BST 16 August

    Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistle

Thistle win a free-kick in line with edge of the Hibs penalty box on the left and Aidan Fitzpatrick swings it towards the back post but Raphael Sallinger comes out to punch it away.

The rebound is blocked and then turned behind for a Hibs goal kick.

  15. Tynecastle tales of the unexpectedpublished at 14:23 BST 16 August

    Hearts 1-0 Inverness CT

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tynecastle

An unusual opening to the game... Goal disallowed by VAR for offside, penalty awarded then overturned by VAR, then a full-back scoring with a looping header. Not a bad opening quarter.

  16. Good start from Stennypublished at 14:20 BST 16 August

    Stenhousemuir 0-0 Motherwell

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Sport Scotland at Ochilview

Home boss Marvin Bartley will be delighted with the calm, composed start his side has made to this tie.

Four corners in the first 13 minutes and most of the play in their opponents' half.

The eight changes are showing for Motherwell who look a bit disjointed so far, and struggling to find their feet on the artificial surface.

  17. Postpublished at 14:18 BST 16 August

    Hibernian 1-0 Partick Thistle

    Amy Canavan
BBC Sport Scotland at Easter Road

There’s a bit of concern for one of the home supporters just in front of the press box.

The paramedics from behind the Hibs dugout have been called upon, as has the Hibs doctor.

    A worrying sight.

GOAL Hearts 1-0 Inverness CTpublished at 14:18 BST 16 August

    Christian Borchgrevink

Sabah Kerjota's free-kick hits the defensive wall and the ball pops up into the air. Right-back Christian Borchgrevink gets there first, looping a header which goes over the goalkeeper - and a defender on the line.

A really strange goal, but Hearts have responded well to that early scare.

  19. NO PENALTYpublished at 14:17 BST 16 August

    Hearts 0-0 Inverness CT

The VAR Don Robertson has ruled that there is contact, but it's outside the box.

Graeme Shinnie is still shaking his head. He thinks it was a dive.

    Either way, it's a Hearts free-kick.

  20. PENALTY TO HEARTSpublished at 14:16 BST 16 August

    Hearts 0-0 Inverness CT

Amadou Ba-Sy skips away from a few defenders and goes down right on the edge of the box.

Calum Scott, the referee, takes his time over this.

Is it in the box? Is there even contact?
