Atletico Madrid 0-0 Bayern Munich; LASK 1-0 Slovan Bratislava; Villarreal 0-4 Paris St-Germain

A first real chance of the night for Harry Kane as Konrad Laimer gets forward down the right and hooks a ball into the middle.

Kane meets it on the volley but doesn't make the connection he wants - it's off his shin rather than the laces - and the ball flies wide.

Elsewhere, Austrian side LASK are into the play-off places as things stand after Kasper Jorgensen put them ahead against bottom side Slovan Bratislava.

There is good news for Villarreal fans, well relatively, in so much as things have not got any worse for their side against Paris St-Germain. It remains 4-0 to the visitors.

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

Aston Villa are carrying a threat and that's the biggest thing you can say.

Johan Manzambi stings the palms of Joan Garcia.

The signs are there. Villa are dangerous.

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

Fair play to Aston Villa, they may be behind but they are having moments. The latest sees Johan Manzambi show good footwork to get into the box but his shot is pushed away by Joan García.

Sorry, we might love Carrick for his status as an ex-player, but he has to go. United haven’t the best squad but they should not be this bad every game. Carrick is out of his depth and needs to be removed before relegation becomes inevitable.

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

Carlos Baleba is winless on all six of his appearances for Manchester United, the only player in the Premier League era to not win any of their first six matches for the club across all competitions.

I wouldn't say that's his fault really but what an incredible stat.

  6. Postpublished at 20:31 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

Bryan Mbeumo makes a good interception to win the ball back in the middle of the park but it's almost immediately lost by Mathues Cunha.

Confidence in this Manchester United side just looks missing.

  7. 'Suzuki is overconfident at times'published at 20:29 GMT 3 November

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

Aston Villa need to know when to pass into that midfield. As good as Zion Suzuki is on the ball, he is overconfident at times.

You can't do that when you're 1-0 down away from home. Clear your lines and make the attackers deal with it.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:28 GMT 3 November

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

Another defensive mistake by Aston Villa as Zion Suzuki's short pass out from the back is again intercepted and Suzuki has to get back into position quickly to push away Anthony Gordon's strike.

  9. Postpublished at 20:28 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

Matheus Cunha links up with Carlos Baleba and the midfielder has a go from range but it's high and wide.

Amad goes flying in the penalty box but the referee says Mario Hermoso got the ball.

Old Trafford feels mutinous. Not sure what happens if things get worse.

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at the Nou Camp

Villa are competitive and have had their chances. There was an expectation they would be able to exploit Barcelona's weakness in defence and they have found the gaps so far, even if they are still looking for the leveller.

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

This is the earliest a team have scored twice as the visiting side at Old Trafford in major European competition.

[Manchester United players] are very flaky, they are very nervous and they are all over the place at the minute.

  14. 'Villa have had the chances'published at 20:24 GMT 3 November

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Nou Camp

Brilliant work from Nicolas Jackson. He picks the perfect pass into Johan Manzambi. It hits his heel. We have spoken about the chances you get at the Nou Camp and Aston Villa have had the chances.

That was a chance to get themselves level.

  15. Man Utd defensive disasterpublished at 20:24 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Manchester United reporter at Old Trafford

Twice Diogo Dalot pushed up from the left back position.

Twice Manchester United lost the ball. Matias Soule scored the first time he was left on his own. The second time Soule drove the ball into Ayden Heaven.

This is atrocious from the home side.

Chief executive Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox have both been picked out by the TV cameras in the directors box.

The Manchester United fans are mutinous.

  16. Postpublished at 20:24 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

Manchester United fans are getting annoyed now. They have tried to show their support for their side but, understandably, they are not happy with what they are seeing.

It looks like a few things are being launched onto the pitch and Jason Wilcox is the subject of quite a few unhappy chants at the moment.

  17. PSG make it four; Inter leadpublished at 20:24 GMT 3 November

Villarreal 0-4 Paris St-Germain; Feyenoord 0-1 Inter; Atletico 0-0 Bayern

Paris Saint-Germain's Spanish midfielder #08 Fabian Ruiz (R) celebrates scoring his team's fourth goalImage source, Getty Images

    Villarreal have capitulated.

Just 17 minutes on the clock and Fabian Ruiz drills in the fourth for Paris St-Germain. More shoddy defending from the hosts and it's punished ruthlessly by Luis Enrique's rampant side.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan are a goal up at Feyenoord thanks to a superb strike from Yann Bisseck. The German defender finds himself on the edge of the box and bends a left-foot shot into the far corner.

It's still goalless in Madrid between Atletico and Bayern. The German side have been up top but the best chance of the game came early for the Spanish team with Julian Alvarez breaking into the box and curling his shot just wide.

  18. Postpublished at 20:22 GMT 3 November

    Barcelona 1-0 Aston Villa

Alert work by Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García as he spots the danger from a quick Aston Villa attack and charges out of his box to clear ahead of Nicolas Jackson, who would have been one-on-one.

  19. 'An absolute disaster for Manchester United'published at 20:22 GMT 3 November

    Manchester United 0-2 Roma

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on Amazon Prime

I expected nothing other than the ball hitting the back of the net because of the form he is in, the confidence he is in, and the goals that he is scoring.

An absolute disaster for Manchester United, but it's brilliant from Roma. They knew that this club and these players are under huge pressure and they are taking advantage of that.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:22 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 0-2 Roma

And now tensions are spilling over.

Bruno Fernandes and Matias Soule both go into the book after Fernandes continues play despite a Roma player being down. Soule isn't happy about it and makes his feelings known.

The referee hadn't blown up so you play to the whistle. Fernandes was right to carry on but his reaction also earns him a yellow card.
