I am sorry for the performance in the second half - we didn't play like a top team. We didn't have the right character and physicality in the second half."

On a booking for Pedro Porro compared to Jayden Bogle's tackle on Mathys Tel: "Pedro Porro's was a duel and an incredible yellow card. The first situation of Mathys Tel I didn't see, I can't say nothing."

On if the referee should have gone to the monitor: "No. I have big confidence in the referee. Nothing changes if he goes to the monitor. If they didn't take the right decision I don't know. We have to keep the eyes on the performance where can improve."

    FT: Leeds 1-0 Tottenham

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel Farke to TNT Sports: "We were pushing to win this game and were relentless. We showed great spirit, commitment and unity. It was a fully deserved win."

On Jayden Bogle's foul on Mathys Tel: "I haven't watched it back. I have heard there were several doubtful situations. A possible hand ball. I just know that Jayden Bogle out of any bad intention. It looked like a coming together.

"It's very unlucky outcome that Mathys is injured and we wish him all the best and he can recover quickly. The last thing Jayden Bogle is a nasty player. He's possibly the softest player in the whole league. I always call him my butterfly, and I can guarantee it was never out of bad intention."

Newcastle have had an inconsistent start, they've had no draws, they've just won or lost.

They've lost key players in the summer and they haven't been able to spend.

Newcastle fans can turn when results don't go their way. They've lacked the fight they had under Eddie Howe.

  16. Solid defence getting Gunners throughpublished at 14:57 GMT

    Arsenal v Hull (15:00 GMT)

    Sophie Brown
    BBC Sport

Arsenal may not be quite firing yet in attack – just 14 goals in their nine league games – but they look solid in defence, with their five goals conceded the fewest in the top flight.

They have the lowest xG conceded (7.24), have faced the fewest shots on target (24) and have had clean sheets in their past three league games.

The determination they showed at Anfield reflects the fact that they have won all six of the league matches in which they have taken the lead this season.

Mikel Arteta's sides have developed a habit of this over his years in the top flight, with the Spaniard behind only Sir Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho in this category.

  17. King earns England call uppublished at 14:54 GMT

    Fulham v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

A big week for Fulham's Josh King, who was called up to Thomas Tuchel's England squad this week for their upcoming Nations League matches against Spain and Croatia.

The Cottagers seem to be starting to find their feet under Alvaro Arbeloa and King has been at the forefront of that.

King has recorded more touches in the opposition box this season than any other player in the top flight (57) while of all players to have had 400+ touches this term, King has also had the highest share in the opposition box (13% - 57/438).

The 19-year-old has bagged two goals and assist this season too.

Tuchel said: "He is just a fantastic character. He gives us a bit of flexibility.

"We decided to nominate 22 outfield players for flexibility in training and he is the extra player in training, if you will.

"He is an exciting player, a versatile player."

    Fulham v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

    Sophie Brown
    BBC Sport

It was a sticky start to the season for Fulham but there are signs that they are settling into the more expansive style of play brought in by new head coach Alvaro Arbeloa.

After picking up just two points in their first six Premier League matches of the season, Fulham have now taken seven points from their past three.

They conceded 10 goals in those first six games, but just one in the past three.

Against Aston Villa last weekend, Fulham had almost double the number of touches in the opposition box and completed over 100 more passes than their opponents, and Arbeloa said after the match that "we are a team that want to play in the opposite half with the ball, creating chances."

Fulham are currently below Newcastle in the table but given the respective levels of form of the two sides. it would be no surprise to see that reversed on Saturday.

  19. 'This game feels big for Jaissle'published at 14:50 GMT

    Fulham v Newcastle (15:00 GMT)

    Sutton's predictions

What are Newcastle? What type of team are they? I am not sure and that's why their manager, Matthias Jaissle, is getting a bit of stick from Magpies fans.

That's what is different with today's Premier League compared with my playing days, because we see it all the time now - even a new manager comes under pressure if they have a couple of bad results.

Newcastle have lost three of their past four league games and, in this day and age, that's enough for people to say the wheels are coming off.

That's why this game feels big for Jaissle. Win and the Magpies head into the international break on a positive note. Lose it, however, and stand by for a lot of moaning and grumbling from their fans over the next couple of weeks.

That's what I think will happen, too. Fulham's results have picked up and so have their performances. They are at home here, and I am expecting them to be too slick and too well organised for Newcastle.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-1

It really is amazing how many members of backroom coaching staff Arsenal have. When the players were going through their warm-ups, there was nearly a coach available for every single player.
