Liverpool need to up the tempo and intensity, they are guilty of moving the ball too slowly.

Nottingham Forest have won their last two Premier League away games against Liverpool, with Crystal Palace the last visiting side to win three consecutively at Anfield (2015 to 2017).

It probably should be more. Liverpool have showed flashes of decent quality going forward at times but not nearly enough.

There was a little chorus of boos at half-time. I don't think the fans are happy with what they've seen from their team so far.

The other end, Nottingham Forest will be absolutely delighted. Standing ovation for their team because the game plan has worked perfectly for them.

The last two times Liverpool have trailed at home at half-time in a Premier League game has been against Nottingham Forest.

Forest won 3-0 in November in the other one.

Lively first half.

First Dan Ndoye struck his first Premier League goal in a year for Forest.

Then Liverpool's Florian Wirtz had a goal disallowed for Jeremie Frimpong's offside.

And finally Forest striker Igor Jesus had an effort saved onto the crossbar by Alisson.

Ola Aina jinks his way into the box and cuts it back for Igor Jesus, who slams in a first-time shot from 12 yards. Alisson gets both hands onto it to knock the ball onto the crossbar.

An inventive spin in the opposition box from Liverpool right-back Jeremie Frimpong to lose Neco Williams but he's tackled by Murillo.

Cody Gakpo gets to the byeline before cutting the ball back. Dominik Szoboszlai steps over it and Alexander Isak knocks the ball into Victor Munoz.

Not sure if it was a bad bit of control or an intentional pass from Isak. Anyway Anfield debutant Munoz shoots over from 12 yards.

Forest striker Igor Jesus has been a real handful so far but he goes a bit far here by clipping Alexis Mac Allister so gets booked.

I just think Liverpool are slightly predictable at this moment in time.

They need to find a way of Alexander Isak involved, Liverpool have to try and stretch Forest.

I've enjoyed some of Forest's diagonal and crossfield balls today - and Matz Sels' long kicks upfield. Not afraid to get the ball in the air.

It's much better from Liverpool since going behind but they could really do with getting on level terms before half-time. Nottingham Forest started well but Andoni Iraola's side are starting to create openings and chances now.
