Well that opening leg was a little bit ridiculous, wasn't it?

The fans can't quite believe it.

    Ironic cheers all round.

Oh! Luke Littler has three darts at tops, but goes over with the first, inside with the second, then inside double 10.

Michael van Gerwen then can't check out tops in three either, but Littler can't see off double 10.

Guess what? Van Gerwen misses two darts at double five.

Then, Littler ends up busting as he can't see off the remaining five.

The ridiculous finishing continues. Van Gerwen misses three. Then Littler can't wrap it up.

Littler finally gets it done. That was unexpected.

As I mentioned a few moments ago, Luke Littler is the recipient of boos once again tonight.

I don't think we should expect it to impact the reigning world champion, mind.

  4. Littler throws firstpublished at 19:45 BST 7 May

Who will face Jonny Clayton in the semi-finals?

    Time to find out.

  5. Half way therepublished at 19:44 BST 7 May

BBC Sport Wales at First Direct Arena, Leeds

Bon Jovi's classic Livin’ on a Prayer has just been belted out by around 13,000 fans here in Leeds.

It's fair to say we're still half way there when it comes to the race for Finals Night, although Gerwyn Price's defeat to Jonny Clayton has paved the way for others to boost their top four hopes.

A few of those in the bottom four could well be saying a prayer or two tonight, that's for sure, but Clayton and Luke Littler can happily hooooold on to what they've got.

    Sorry, I'll stop now...

Some boos for Luke Littler from the Leeds crowd as he walks to the stage.

To be expected for the Manchester United fan.

Defeat would leave Michael van Gerwen in a rather precarious position.

He holds a two-point lead over the chasing pack, although his nearest challengers, Gian van Veen and Luke Humphries, could overtake him in the table over the next hour or two.

The Dutchman has faced Luke Littler four times in this year's Premier League, but has lot three of them.

His only win against the Nuke came in the semi-finals in Antwerp on night two, while Littler also benefitted from van Gerwen's withdrawal on night three in Glasgow.

It's a record the seven-time Premier League champion knows he will need to improve tonight to keep his top four hopes in his own hands.

  8. 'Some great battles'published at 19:39 BST 7 May

    Littler v Van Gerwen

Michael van Gerwen talking to Sky Sports: "The last few games I think I've played some really good darts against him and we've had some great battles but he's a nicked a few games.

"That is how darts is. Tonight is a new game and I'm looking forward to it."

The pressure is off as far as Luke Littler is concerned.

And the reigning world champion has now set his sights on breaking his own world records over the remainder of the Premier League campaign.

Ahead of tonight's action, the 19-year-old somewhat ominously said: "Obviously I always want to be top of the table.

"I know Jonny [Clayton] says he wants to get to The O2 and we’ve both qualified, so now I want to chase and hopefully break my own records."

You'd be a brave person to go put your money on Littler not topping the standings.

As a Manchester United supporter, Littler can expect another frosty reception tonight in Leeds, although that doesn't seem to have bothered him too much in recent weeks!

  10. 'A win would make top four interesting'published at 19:37 BST 7 May

    Littler v Van Gerwen

Luke Littler, who was stuck in traffic and only arrive at the venue at 18:45 BST, talking to Sky Sports: "I was hoping I was going to make it on top for the bull but I am a bit early so hopefully I can practise for a good 45 minutes on the board now.

"Me and Mike [Michael van Gerwen] had a good game a couple of weeks ago and I said it was good to see him back so hopefully he's in good form, but if I am able to get over the line that would make it interesting for the top four."

  11. 'Littler dictates to the rest at the moment'published at 19:36 BST 7 May

    John Part
Former PDC world champion on Sky Sports

Luke Littler can deal with adversity well. He is an aggressive compettior and he knows who he is - he won't take anything from anyone, and even if he's wrong, he'll stand his ground.

He dictates to the rest at the moment and that's just how it is.

  12. Ferret on fire to break the streakpublished at 19:36 BST 7 May

    Result: Price 2-6 Clayton

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at First Direct Arena, Leeds

Clayton had lost 12 of his past 13 meetings with Price prior to that victory.

It typifies how well the Ferret is playing in this season's Premier League.

A warm embrace between the pair there and Clayton gave his compatriot a pat on the back and said a few words of encouragement just before the duo walked off stage.

A maximum helps Jonny Clayton as he is first down to a finish.

He ends up with a dart at double five, but goes outside.

Gerwyn Price has 121 to check out and gets the treble 20, but single 11 leaves the bull and he hits double 16.

    Clayton then wraps it up.

    Price 2-5 Clayton

It doesn't look like Gerwyn Price has a roar in him tonight. He seems incapable of it.

  16. Price holdspublished at 19:32 BST 7 May

    Price 2-5 Clayton

Three perfect darts to kick off the leg for Gerwyn Price, but he can't keep it going.

He wraps up the leg, though, and pins tops with Jonny Clayton back on 101.

Price would have to win the next four legs to turn this around.

  17. Clayton holdspublished at 19:30 BST 7 May

    Price 1-5 Clayton

Jonny Clayton is first down to a finish in this one. He's down to 146, with Gerwyn Price back on 247.

Clayton gets himself down to 48, but a trebleless visit leaves Price still not down to a finish.

Clayton misses one dart at double 16 but gets it with his second.

Some poor scoring from Price there.

The grimace on Price's face after Clayton won that fifth leg spoke volumes.

  19. Clayton breakspublished at 19:28 BST 7 May

    Price 1-4 Clayton

The scoring is starting to slow down a touch in this one.

Jonny Clayton eventually sets up a dart at double 16 with 68 left... and he pins it.

Gerwyn Price is three behind now.

  20. Clayton holdspublished at 19:26 BST 7 May

    Price 1-3 Clayton

Gerwyn Price nearly gets it back to level terms in a leg where he throws another 180.

He finds the single 20 as he looks to take out 60, but goes inside on tops and then inside on double 10.

But Jonny Clayton plays the sort of darts I'm used to and ends up with double one left.

Price can't check out double 10 and Clayton holds.
