A maximum for Gerwyn Price in this leg as he goes on to pull one back.

No worries on tops this time for Price as he takes it out with his first dart at it.

  3. Clayton holdspublished at 19:23 BST 7 May

    Price 0-2 Clayton

Jonny Clayton throws the first maximum of the match as he goes on to win the second leg.

After that comment about his health, I'm worried for Gerwyn Price tonight.

  8. 'Health wise, I'm not in a great place'published at 19:17 BST 7 May

    Price v Clayton

Gerwyn Price talking to Sky Sports: "He's beat me once in the Premier League this year. I'm playing decent darts and so is he so may the best man win tonight.

"My focus is there, just health wise I'm not in a great place at the moment. I'm just battling on at the moment and searching for results and hopefully in the next few weeks that will come and put me at ease and I'll be able to enjoy darts again."

  9. 'I want the night win for extra money in the bank'published at 19:16 BST 7 May

    Price v Clayton

Jonny Clayton talking to Sky Sports: "On stage we're not friends. We go out and try and win a game. Hopefully I can beat him tonight.

"I'm a big believer in if they don't go, they don't go, try again. Hopefully they go tonight! I'm chasing that £10,000 [for the night win] now I'm already qualified just to get that little bit of extra money in the bank."

I spoke to Jonny Clayton at the tournament's media launch in Newcastle in early February.

Despite his usual smile and polite nature, the Ferret was clearly irritated by the fact that many had written off his hopes of even reaching finals night, let alone winning the tournament - one in which he triumphed on debut in 2021, let's not forget.

When I put it to him that bookmakers had him as the outsider of the eight-man field to win the event, Clayton said: "It motivates me alright because people don't rate me, obviously they rate the others more. Let's see on finals night."

    And how right he was.

Now in his fourth appearance in the Premier League, Clayton has already maintained his 100% record of reaching finals night.

As we see on most nights of the Premier League, Gerwyn Price has adopted the local colours on his shirt once again tonight. He's gone for a white top with blue and yellow stripes as a nod to Leeds United.

Despite being Welsh number two these days, former world champion Price has had the better of his compatriot Jonny Clayton for some time.

The pair have met five times across various tournaments so far in 2026, with Price winning four of those encounters.

But it was Clayton who won the most recent Premier League fixture between the pair, with the Ferret beating the Iceman 6-3 in the quarter-finals on night three in Glasgow.

They're the best of friends off the oche, and in particular when it comes to the World Cup, a tournament they won together in 2020 and 2023, but these two certainly know how to put their friendship to once side when it comes to battle.

  13. Already-qualified Clayton takes on Pricepublished at 19:11 BST 7 May

Jonny Clayton, who is already confirmed his spot at Finals Night, takes on Welsh compatriot Gerwyn Price this evening.

Price is currently third in the standings, inside the play-off places by five points.

He will be searching for points tonight to help secure his spot in the final four.

Price has reached the O2 in two of the past three seasons.

  14. Premier League darts format and points systempublished at 19:10 BST 7 May

Premier League Darts is played across 16 initial weeks in the league stage with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final each night.

Each of the eight players is guaranteed to face the other seven in the quarter-finals in weeks one to seven and 9-15, with week eight and week 16 fixtures done off the table. It means we will get fourth v fifth in Sheffield on the final league-stage night, with the play-off spots potentially on the line.

Players earn two points per quarter-final win, an additional point if they win their semi-final and five for winning the night.

The top four players after the group stage progress to the play-off night at London's O2 Arena on 28 May, with first facing fourth and second against third in a best-of-19-leg match. The final, which is the best of 21 legs, follows.

If players are level on points after the 16 weeks then places are decided by nights won and then matches won.

  15. 'Perfect opportunity for anyone not in the top four'published at 19:09 BST 7 May

    John Part
Former PDC world champion on Sky Sports

All the eyes are firmly on Luke Humphries again tonight.

The bracket tonight reflects the table - with the top four in the top half and the bottom four in the bottom half of the draw - and it feels like the perfect opportunity tonight for anyone not currently going to play-offs night to rectify that.

He's also playing an opponent who hasn't beat him for nearly two years.

A lot of things are adding up in a positive way for him tonight. It's almost scary how things are adding up for him.
