What a knock from Harry Duke, mostly full of discipline and hard work.

He has put on a marvellous partnership with Ryan Higgins.

There's been some debate this year about whether the final should be held at Trent Bridge given the rather sparse crowds in recent seasons. Some have suggested a smaller venue could be used.

But, although the ground is far from full, the turnout this time is much improved.

There's a good atmosphere and the Leicestershire supporters in particular are making sure they're heard, many of them situated appropriately at the Fox Road side of the ground..

Looks like we'll be back here next year.

Leicestershire fans have been making their voices heard at Trent Bridge

Whisper it quietly (Middlesex fans) but these are calmer waters for the Seaxes this afternoon.

Oh hello! Ryan Higgins goes down the track and belts Tom Scriven to Alex Green.

One run taken - and that's the 100 partnership for the sixth wicket off 110 balls.

    Higgins 59, Duke 41

Bowling change and frustration for Tom Scriven - who has changed ends and is on in place of Alex Green.

Width and a flashing stroke from Ryan Higgins past backward point for four.

They had just brought the fielder up for that shot.

  12. Middlesex 153-5published at 37 overs

    Higgins 53, Duke 40

How important might that knock be from Ryan Higgins?

He gets a leg bye off Alex Green.

A lovely late cut from Harry Duke to point and a fumble in the field allows for two runs.

Ben Green is getting a bit of stick from the crowd as the ball is hit to him again and - just for the one apiece time.

Duke gets it to square leg to move to 35. Now we have a no-ball and a free hit for overstepping...

Higgins is back and across to a slower ball and cloths it in the off side for no run.

He keeps the strike with a single cut to deep point off the next ball.

We all know tails can wag! I was thinking even with three down Leicestershire need to keep the wickets coming, or all the good work, early on, could be undone, and we could be facing an uncomfortable chase. Tense stuff now!

A bit of cloud cover at Trent Bridge now but no danger of rain.

It's been hazy sunshine for the most part.

A full length from Alex Green and Harry Duke nearly inside edges into his stumps.

He uppercuts the third ball behind point for one.

Ryan Higgins pushes into cover and sprints one. He's on 48.

Green strays leg side for a wide. Tension easing a tad for Middlesex?
