Jamie Overton is a 'hot spot' fielder for England - they like to have him where the ball goes most often because he has bucket hands and doesn't drop many.

    Here's Adil Rashid.

Sri Lanka's batters work him around for seven runs, with a run scored off every delivery.

The required run-rate is now exactly 17 an over.

England have licence to bowl with aggression because Sri Lanka's target is so far away.

  4. How's stat?!published at 20:56 BST 15 September

Sri Lanka equalled England's dot ball total (22) for their innings after just six overs of their own.

  5. SL 44-3published at 7 overs

    Target 255

Liam Dawson comes on to bowl as the fielders go back.

Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka both pick-up fours with under-edged sweeps, the former's a reverse that goes very fine and the latter's beating a stumbling Josh Tongue and dribbling to the ropes.

What a summer Harry Brook is having as England white-ball captain. He’s brilliant isn’t he. You are a wizard Harry.

Udara was actually in a good position. The ball was there to be deflected over the wicketkeeper's head, but he got too much height on it here.

    Ramped... not enough on it!

A second wicket in the over for Sonny Baker as Lahiru Udara drops into a crouch to play for the boundary behind the keeper, but drops the ball some way short and Adil Rashid makes some good ground to take the catch from backward square.

  10. SL 32-3published at 5.4 overs

Captain Charith Asalanka comes in with Sri Lanka in a bit of trouble.

He gets his innings going with a single off his third delivery.

Baker went wide of the crease and angled it in. Mishara just planted his foot and swung the bat, almost hoping he'd make contact. It's not looking good for Sri Lanka.

    Skied by Kamil Mishara!

Lahiru Udara is pretty instinctive and has earned his chance in the team through his domestic performances. Even in red-ball cricket he scores quickly.

  16. SL 29-1published at 4.2 overs

Ooof, half-volley from Josh Tongue and Lahiru Udara slaps that away through the covers for four.

  17. SL 25-1published at 4 overs

    Target 255

Lahiru Udara comes in a three and immediately gets off the mark with a single to mid-on.

That was not a wicket-taking delivery. He's tried to take mid-on and got it high on the bat, no timing from Pathum Nissanka.

It's Jamie Overton stationed out there and the tall seamer pedals back to take the catch.

Showing my age but there’s a lot of Darren Gough in Sonny Baker, from the skiddy nature to the pace, not to mention the enthusiasm. Definitely fun to watch.
