    Josh Davey has got one to spit up off the track and it is clipped something on the way through to Ben Cox who takes a great grab low to his right.

    Jordan Cox clutches his upper arm as he rests on his knees in the crease with replays not really convincing.

    From behind it looks like it hits his arm but from the front (and the view of the umpire to be fair) it looks as if it clips his glove.

    Either way, Cox's innings is over.

  2. Durham 321-7 v Derbyshire

    Martin Andersson overpitches and Matthew Potts hits it dead straight, back over the umpire's head, for four runs. Potts moves on to 35 not out and Ben Raine has 31.

  3. Lancs 30-4 v Kent 178

    Ben McDermott and Marcus Harris have the big task of rebuilding this Lancashire innings, otherwise we could be in for a fairly low-scoring contest.

    Liam Livingstone to come next for the hosts of course, and he will be batting for the first time in the County Championship since 2021.

  4. Notts v Somerset 310

    So, Somerset were only able to add another 15 runs to their overnight score for the final three wickets.

    Notts will likely be happier with their morning's work as Archie Vaughan is left high and dry on 66 not out.

    It has taken him 35 minutes to add the two runs he needed at the start of play, but Daniel Hughes reaches 50 off 129 balls with a single off Ryan Hadley.

    It's the fifth time he has done so this season - and two of the previous four were converted into hundreds.

    If Hughes does so again today, Sussex will be in a very strong position indeed in this game.

    And that is that!

    Full, fast and straight once more from Fergus O'Neill to trap number 11 Alfie Ogborne in front.

    O'Neill takes 6-72 from 23 overs and Somerset are all out for 310. Time will tell if that's a decent first innings score or not.

    Yorkshire 423-8 v Warwickshire

    Hasan Ali hits Keith Barker for two boundaries in an over as Yorkshire continue to get on with it despite the loss of a couple of wickets.

    Bears fans will have seen Ali bat this way a number of times during his couple of years at Edgbaston.

    George Hill is getting into the act as well, claiming two fours in an Ethan Bamber over.

    Ben to Ben - Aitchison to Raine, who tucks the ball away to square leg for one as he and Matthew Potts post a 50 stand from 109 balls.

    Durham have six more overs after this one to try and reach 350 for another batting bonus point.

    It's fast and straight from Fergus O'Neill and that's enough to go through a pretty big gap between Migael Pretorius' bat and pad.

    O'Neill gets it to smash into leg stump and the Australian has a five-for.

    Notts have now taken two wickets for 15 runs this morning. They'd have taken that you'd imagine.

    One more needed but three bowling points are secured for the defending champions.

    Jordan Cox reached a double hundred at Grace Road

    That has been some knock from Jordan Cox who brings up his double hundred with a boundary through square leg.

    It rather stuck in the pitch and Cox had to reach for it to pull it rather inelegantly to the rope.

    But given he entered the fray yesterday with Essex 8-2, it has been a powerful display of counter-attacking cricket from the England hopeful.

    It could be that he opens up a bit now in search of batting points but he has probably already done enough to make it into the second Test line-up.

    How can England ignore this?

    His previous best came when playing for Kent against Sussex in August 2020 when he finished 238 not out. That is well within his reach here.

  11. Notts v Somerset 309-8

    Migael Pretorius swings hard at one outside off from Mohammad Ali but it doesn't quite carry to gully for Notts.

    And so comes to an end a maiden from the Pakistan seamer.

    Can Somerset eek out another 41 runs for a third batting point? That will be the aim for the visitors.

    Notts will be keen to rattle off these final two wickets for minimum damage.

    Sebastian Morgan completes his first Championship half century of the season.

    Middlesex are going pretty well this morning, adding useful runs, despite the loss of Toby Roland-Jones.

    Liam Guthrie hammers Matt Taylor past mid off for a boundary which brings up the 400 and a fourth batting point for the hosts.

    Having scored over 1,000 Championship runs last summer, James Coles has had a fairly lean time of it so far this season.

    He punches Ryan Hadley away for his first boundary and then flicks Timm van der Gugten through mid-wicket for another as the Sussex total passes 150.

    The nightwatchman is gone and the Lancashire wickets are tumbling.

    It's a lovely in-swinging delivery from Matt Milnes to get through the gate of Tom Bailey.

    Ethan Bamber had little luck yesterday but he's been rather gifted two wickets this morning.

    He does get one to bounce a bit on Dom Bess who plays it straight to mid wicket where Dan Mousley takes a tumbling catch.

    Jonny Bairstow's blistering innings ends as he miscues an Ethan Bamber delivery straight to Zen Malik in the covers.

    Keith Dudgeon has his and Kent's third wicket!

    It's a perfect length delivery from Dudgeon and Josh Bohannon tries to block but just plays down the wrong line.

    The Bohannon defence is beaten and the ball clatters into the top of off stump.

    Lancashire are in a spot of bother here.

    A first boundary of the day for Lancashire as Josh Bohannon flicks Matt Milnes off his legs for four through mid-wicket.

    Well fielded by that spectator on the step watching on from the side.

    Clarke may owe his wicketkeeper a pint for that one but he now has 6-87. His previous best was 6-45 so another wicket would give him a career best (for all that you could argue 6-45 is better than 7-87)
