Jordan Hermann rocks back and flashes a square cut in the air off Lyndon James but there isn't Notts shirt near it in the infield.
It's cut off on the boundary and Somerset can come through for two.
Then the very next ball, it's an almost identical delivery, but Hermann doesn't miss out on the boundary this time. Smashed away for four to point.
Hermann is now three shy of 50.
Middx 102-1 v Worcs
They've had to work for it but Middlesex have brought up the hundred on a ground which has been low scoring this season.
Sam Robson and Max Holden have put on 89 so far.
Lancashire v Kent 39-2
Tom Bailey finds the outside edge of Daniel Bell-Drummond's bat, forcing the Kent man to play just inside the line, but it runs through the slip cordon and races away for four.
Kent's second boundary of the innings and not the most glamourous, but they all count.

The Sussex paceman gives him too much width later in the over and is carved away to backward point for another boundary.

Saif Zaib rides his luck again a little, with another cut off Kristian Clarke that just evades the slip fielders.
But Zaib has probably earned a bit of luck today - he's displaying the kind of form that brought him stacks of Championship runs last year and has now advanced to 80, his highest score so far this summer.

Are the ECB trying to kill off Sussex? They want improved finances whilst throttling their ability to retain or attract top players due to the financial restraints. Sussex will be lucky to field a side in 2027.

They're doing more than ok today, Stephen, and Unadkat has certainly proved a worthy overseas addition over the past few seasons.

Worcestershire's South African Beyers Swanepoel has had no joy with the ball but he should have had a run out.
Sam Robson was sent back half way through a run but Swanepoel couldn't gather the ball cleanly and knocked off the bails with his hands to the relief of Robson who was well short.

Thank goodness for Ben Green.
His 23 wickets before the start of the day's play had kept the Foxes competitive in the opening six matches. The rest of the attack has failed to back him up, however.
He now has 25 wickets, at an average of 25, castling Dean Elgar and trapping Paul Walter LBW.
It was a pretty turgid half an hour, with plenty of movement and pace on a pitch that could have cows mooing on it, it's that green.
But Jordan Cox, fresh from his call-up to the England Test squad, has looked impressive, counter-attacking and going at over two a ball.

This is not a drill. Kent have hit their first boundary of the innings in the 19th over.
Ben Dawkins doesn't move his feet much but shows strong wrists to flash away for four to the point boundary off Tom Bailey.
The visitors need a few more of those.

An edge by Timm van der Gugten squirts low to third slip where Jack Carson makes no mistake.

But the Warwickshire captain was justified in having a go. A direct hit would have run out Sam Whiteman.

Jordan Hermann flicks it down to fine leg for four off Lyndon James to bring it up.
Hermann and Thomas Rew building nicely and the visitors will hope they can stick around for a fair while longer.

That's now 35 runs added since the restart and the partnership between Jordan Hermann and Thomas Rew is worth 51.
The 18-year-old Rew edges for four off Lyndon James - who has been brought into the bowling attack - and has moved onto his highest score in first-class cricket for Somerset (37*) and Hermann is 33*.

He put on 49 for the third wicket with David Bedingham, who responds by clipping an inswinger from Martin Andersson for four in the next over.
Leics v Essex 37-2
Jordan Cox might have spent most of the IPL warming the bench, but he's certainly started in white-ball mode here.
Cox struck his first ball to the boundary and he's just dispatched Josh Davey for another three fours in the space of four deliveries - two of them clinical pull shots followed by a sweet off-side drive.
Cox now has 22 from just 11 deliveries faced, just the tonic Essex needed after losing both openers cheaply.

Great delivery from Jaydev Unadkat and Sean Dickson edges to second slip where Jack Leaning falls to his right to take the catch.
Glamorgan now in serious danger of being skittled in a couple of sessions.

It's proving hard work for Warwickshire in the field but Yorkshire would be even further away had it not been for the fielding of Beau Webster.
The former Australia test player has thrown himself around the covers to stop a series of attacking stroke.
He must have saved at least twenty runs.
