The change of ball works wonders for Surrey as Kiran Carlson edges a good one from Auqib Nabi straight into the 'bread basket' of Dom Sibley at first slip.

First bowling point for Surrey and Nabi, who is in his fourth over, has 2-11.

    Leicestershire v Hampshire 74-5

Josh Davey is in the attack and Ben Brown whips the fourth ball away leg side for four.

He turns another ball leg side for one to move to 18.

Four runs to Ben Mayes, driving through point.

  3. Division Two updatepublished at 11:53 BST 15 September

Durham have lost their second wicket at the Riverside, with Will Rhodes lbw to Ben Gibbon for five. They are 64-2 in the 20th over.

Middlesex are 62-2 in the 19th against Gloucestershire - Max Holden is 26 not out and Ben geddes has 19.

    Sussex v Notts 55-1

Stand-in Sussex captain Tom Haines has brought himself on for a bowl but looks in a bit of discomfort after his first two deliveries.

His third is a no-ball but he manages to loosen up the shoulders and it's just the two extras from it in the end.

    Essex 33-6 v Warwickshire

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Ed Barnard continuing his recent surge in form and Essex’s first innings is something of a ruin. They are racing through it and that’s a fourth consecutive maiden.

    Yorkshire 62-3 v Somerset

Matt Revis is off the mark third ball with a four steered wide of the slips with a thick edge off Jake Ball, who affords himself a wry grin.

    Over bowled.

    Surrey v Glamorgan 61-2

    He does love that short.

Tom Lawes is very short and wide and Jack Hope-Bell slaps it square over point for a maximum.

He advances to 28 not out.

Looks like we are now going to see a ball change. Out come two boxes of potential replacements.

  8. Postpublished at 11:49 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 53-1

Very good line and length from Ari Karvelas for Sussex as he bowls another maiden.

That's 12 dots in a row for the South African who is 0-4 from four overs.

Nottinghamshire's scoring has really slowed up since Tom Price dismissed Haseeb Hameed.

Just six runs in the five overs since he fell.

It's been a tough year to be a Hampshire fan. Unfortunately the top order (Lehmann aside) are not good enough. I suspect its not just form, and I fear they wont be good enough for division 2 either.

Hampshire just put us out of our misery now - another atrocious batting display

    Kent v Lancashire 44-0

We finally have a replacement ball in Canterbury after that big six from Michael Jones and now Keith Dudgeon can finish his over for Kent.

A good reply by Dudgeon with three dots after being sent over mid-wicket.

  12. Postpublished at 11:47 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire v Hampshire 61-5

Ben Brown is averaging 30 this season with a century - and goodness me, Hampshire need a score from their captain today.

He sees out the 17th over on 13.

Ben Mayes taps a leg side ball from Ben Green fine for four.

He gets away with an edge short of the slips and the ball runs away for a couple.

    Thain c Smith b Barnard 4 (Essex 33-6 v Warwickshire)

    Edged.... and gone.

    Essex are six down.

Ed Barnard gets in on the act with a first wicket in his first over.

Essex have failed to score a run in the past three overs.

George Bell and Shane Snater now at the crease.

  14. 50 runs

50 up for Nottspublished at 11:43 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 53-1

Freddie McCann is off the mark for Notts in style with a lovely drive through the covers for four off Tom Price.

And with that, Notts pass the 50 mark.

  15. wicket

Bin Naeem lbw Guthrie 16 (Northants v Derbyshire 37-3)

    Two in three balls!

Yousaf Bin Naeem has to go. He's beaten by Liam Guthrie's ball and nudges it ball away from the stumps with his back pad and there really is no doubt about that one.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:42 BST 15 September

    Lees c Edavalath b Gibbon 40 (Durham 56-1 v Worcs)

The Division Two champions lose their first wicket as Alex Lees pushes forward at a good one from left-armer Ben Gibbon and edges a fairly straightforward catch to second slip.

Will Rhodes is the new man in at three.

  17. 6 runs

for Michael Jonespublished at 11:42 BST 15 September

    Kent v Lancashire 44-0

Hello! Big hit from Michael Jones as he hammers Keith Dudgeon over mid-wicket for six.

And he's lost the ball to boot... the umpires are on and a replacement is on the way.

  18. Postpublished at 11:41 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 49-1

Another maiden for Sussex's Ari Karvelas, this time to Ben Slater, and Notts remain on 49-1.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:41 BST 15 September

Montgomery lbw Guthrie 13 (Northants v Derbyshire 37-2)

Liam Guthrie was brought back into the Northants team today and he's done the business there, dismissing Matt Montgomery lbw.

It moved back inside after pitching and hit the Derbyshire batter on the pads, the only thing was if it moved too much and was going down leg, but the umpire is convinced and that's the only thing that matters.

    Not sure Montgomery agrees mind.

  20. Postpublished at 11:39 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire v Hampshire 53-5

Ben Brown leaves Ben Green outside off.

He tries to tuck a ball away off the hip but is blocked at square leg.

A single to fine leg - and Ben Mayes is off the mark to his ninth ball, driving down the ground for four. Slightly too full from Green.

    That's the innings 50 in 16 overs.
