    Kent v Lancashire 84-4

Some very mild relief for Lancashire as Matty Hurst skews a quick single through the off-side from Khaled Ahmed to get off the mark.

That's just a second run since the visitors lost their first wicket.

And then a third run since the first wicket as Josh Bohannon adds a leg bye to the total.

    Geddes b Kishore 38 (Glos v Middx 130-4)

Just one run short of what would have been a 50 partnership with Caleb Falconer, Ben Geddes is bowled by a ball from Sai Kishore which turns and keeps low. A pretty deadly combination.

    Yorkshire 100-5 v Somerset

Four runs to George Hill, driving Craig Overton through long off.

Jonny Bairstow picks up a single off Lewis Gregory into the off side and Hill brings up the innings 100 in the 36th over with a drive to mid on.

It's raining but it appears we'll play on for now. Passing shower, probably.

    Kent v Lancashire 82-4

You can't help but feel this first day so far has summed up what has been a really disappointing season for Lancashire.

A strong opening partnership of 81 runs between Michael Jones and Keaton Jennings but all that hard work has been undone by Kent's bowlers.

Matt Milnes bowls his seventh maiden of the innings and he has impressive figures of 2-10 from 10 overs.

for Mayank Agarwalpublished at 13:41 BST 15 September

    Durham 168-3 v Worcs

Brought in as cover when David Bedingham was ordered home to South Africa, Mayank Agarwal reaches his first Championship 50 for Durham off exactly 50 balls by chopping Ben Gibbon down to third man for four.

He and Ben Stokes have so far put on 94 for the fourth wicket.

    Essex 104-8 v Warwickshire

A fine innings when you consider the very tricky circumstances at the time George Bell arrived into this game.

His half-century has helped move Essex from 33-7 to over 100 runs.

Bell's score shining out like a beacon on a largely forgettable Essex scorecard.

  7. Milestone for Bamberpublished at 13:40 BST 15 September

    Essex 102-8 v Warwickshire

    Ethan BamberImage source, Shutterstock

Ethan Bamber is now equal with Kyle Abbott on 57 at the top of the Division One list of leading wicket takers this season.

That was also his 100th first class wicket for Warwickshire.

  8. Postpublished at 13:40 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire v Hampshire 127-6

A really nasty delivery from Ben Green that deviates a long way and bounces past Ben Brown. Leg cutter.

Green gets one to nip the other way and Brown survives an LBW appeal.

Brown steers a single to deep third. He's on 48.

  9. Postpublished at 13:39 BST 15 September

    Kent v Lancashire 82-4

Lancashire are 1-4 from the past 2.1 overs. Astonishing top order collapse here.

FIVE WICKET HAUL FOR IAN HOLLANDpublished at 13:37 BST 15 September

    Mayes st Cox b Holland 39 - Leicestershire v Hampshire 126-6

Shot! Ben Brown moves to 47 with a firm drive through cover off Ian Holland on bended knee.

But now Ben Mayes has gone. Down the leg side, moving across and forward and Ben Cox completes a very tidy stumping.

A big wicket that ends a partnership of 84.

    Here comes Scott Currie.

Ian Holland has 5-30 off 11.4 overs.

    Flintoff lbw b Khaled 0 (Kent v Lancashire 82-4)

    And another for Kent!

Rocky Flintoff is struck in front by Khaled Ahmed, who picks up his second wicket of the match.

Flintoff is gone for a duck and that's now four wickets in 12 balls for the hosts.

Warwickshire certainly have the bowling attack but I’m not sure we bat deep enough to gain crucial batting points in a title race where we are the outsiders.

    Matt, Thailand

What more does Ethan Bamber have to do for an England acknowledgment? Miserly as ever today and a consistent line and length bowler all season. With the keeper up he would be a threat at Test level, as this summer has shown!

    Kent v Lancashire 81-3

And yet another big appeal for lbw for Kent from Matt Milnes as he hits Rocky Flintoff on the front pad.

    That looked close again...

    Lancashire are teetering now.

    Durham 157-3 v Worcs

The Worcestershire bowlers are really under pressure now.

Ben Stokes is down the track and slashes Ben Gibbon over backward point for four.

Two balls later, he repeats the shot, this time clearing the cover field.

    Kent v Lancashire 81-3

How things can change so quickly. Lancashire were looking very relaxed at lunch. Within 20 minutes of the restart, this game has taken on a completely different complexion.

  17. Postpublished at 13:31 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire v Hampshire 121-5

Four runs to Ben Brown as the Hampshire captain is forward and across to Leicester captain Ian Holland to deflect behind square on the front foot.

Inventive batting on a pitch offering movement for the seamers.

    Akhter c & b Bamber 19 (Essex 101-8 v Warwickshire)

Ethan Bamber does all the work himself to take his fourth wicket and break the Essex partnership!

That is a great catch by Bamber - he readjusts his body position on the move to reach out his right arm and pluck the ball out of the air, taking the catch from his own bowling to dismiss Zaman Akhter.

Akhter was a good foil to George Bell, staying in for 52 balls while scoring 19, but has departed now as the Bears hunt for the final two Essex wickets.

    Surrey v Glamorgan 110-5

Tom Lawes thinks he has Chris Cooke lbw with a full length delivery, but he's wrong. It was missing leg stump and the umpire shakes his head.

    The wickets are tumbling now!

Marcus Harris edges behind off Matt Milnes and he's gone for a second-ball duck.

From 81-0, now Lancashire are 81-3. Three wickets for no runs.
