England have now taken 30 wickets with deliveries over 85mph in this series following Gus Atkinson's dismissal of Ghazi Ghori, that's seven more than their previous high of 23 wickets with deliveries over 85 mph in a three-match series (v West Indies, 2024).

To counter that, Ja, the one batting change Pakistan made was to bring in Saim Ayub and he got pair! It's hard to argue it was right.

The length of Jofra Archer's follow-through as he bowls bouncer after bouncer tells you the mood he is in. Mohammad Imran is the recipient of a stare.

Does Pakistan's batting performance in this test suggest the PCB were right to drop those players and shake the squad up?

    Ja, London

  4. Pak 316-7published at 73.2 overs

Razaullah is still shadow batting like some sort of prize fighter at the non-striker's end as Jofra Archer steams in to Mohammad Imran. Archer is still grumpy.

Razaullah was playing all sorts of strokes on the balcony, he's true to his word. He has a first-class century, he might as well have some fun.

    Thanks Tim.

This might be fun for a while. New batter Razaullah comes in and slices his first ball for four.

One more of those and England will have to bat again.

That wicket is my cue to hand over to Matthew Henry, who will take you through to the conclusion today's play.

Atkinson's deserved more than he's had this series. Edged it, not a huge amount Ghori could've done about that.

We might get some entertainment for half an hour now, with England having to chase a small total.

    Ghori c Cox b Atkinson 16 (Pak 312-7)

Ghazi Ghori inside edges a delivery which nips back from Gus Atkinson and Jordan Cox takes a fine diving catch.

Pakistan look like they might fold quicker than my uncle's origami business.

  10. Pak 310-6published at 72 overs

Bodyline from Joe Root as Jofra Archer steams in bowling bumpers.

England have a backstop, two catchers on the leg side and a short leg plus a leg slip, and a leg gully.

Mohammad Imran survives the over without scoring.

Looking more and more likely that Joe Root will have another chance to break his lbw hoodo before the summer's out! Or will he?

    Fergus, France

Kind of glad England look likely to bat again. Hopefully Gay can get a not out score and boost that average to something a bit more representative of his contributions this summer.

Pakistan have certainly given England something to think about. They've had it far too easy in the other five innings.

England haven't been able to control Pakistan's batting at all today. The wickets haven't been handed to them.

  13. Pak 310-6published at 71 overs

Pakistan trail by 10 runs now.

Whatever happens in the next few hours they have shown a bit character with the bat.

That was a bit of a half hearted appeal from Gus Atkinson. It was more hope than want. Not sure there was much need for that.

A healthy chunk of inside edge on that.

Gus Atkinson hits Ghazi Ghori high on the back leg, and it's given out on the field.

However, he immediately rewiews. Is there some bat on this?

I'm not sure how much fast bowler bouncer warfare Imran would've faced in Pakistan.

  19. Pak 308-6published at 70 overs

Play can potentially go until 19:30 tonight - provided the light is good enough and England are within striking distance of victory.

Saud Shakeel got in a real mess, an absolute perfectly directed bouncer. Archer sent it uncomfortably high. When Shakeel looked like he was getting under it, he looked in no trouble whatsoever. He thought he wanted to play it but got confused.

An important wicket for England at the start of the session.
