Not sure whether he loses it in the flight but at least he stops it going for a boundary.

Northants have used up three from their skipper and not got a return for the third but they will be happy enough with where they are.

Lovely push through the covers off Ben Sanderson brings the first boundary of the Somerset reply and it comes off the bat of Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

But otherwise a decent over from the Northants man.

That four is a nerve settler but memories of their capitulation - they were 82-8 before Craig Overton's heroics - against Yorkshire will be to the forefront of Somerset minds.

No doubt Northants fielders will be reminding them of that in the middle.

Well, that was awful, it really was.

There's a deep backward square out there so, if he has hit it, he's going to have to hit that for six or he's going to be out.

Against their experienced bowler, you're in trouble, two down for nothing and to play a shot like that...

It beggars belief. He's got himself out of line of off stump and it's hit leg stump. Really poor batting.

He hasn't looked good in the past couple of games, very tentative. Just play straight, hit the ball straight back down the ground!

A very good question, Dave. So far, it's a very Jekyll and Hyde performance from Somerset, so maybe two kits is not such a good idea!
