England will be delighted with it.

This could have been a ticklish last game, but they have handled it and got themselves over the line.

A dominant performance. A few little tricky moments, which they have also overcome.

Another catch for Jamie Overton, aka Bucket Hands.

Asitha Fernando lifts Liam Dawson's delivery right to the hulking England seamer at at mid-on.

One wicket and we're done for the summer.

    Not bad, Asitha Fernando.

The Sri Lanka tail-ender cracks a full toss from Jamie Overton through the covers for four.

A big ask for Sri Lanka from here...

    Target 356

We reach the half way stage in the innings with Sri Lanka on 113-8.

England actually only had 108 at this stage... but they'd only lost two wickets and accelerated from this point, hitting 17 from the 26th over.

Oooh, turning so far it went past leg stump.

    Eshan Malinga survives.

Did it turn? It looked very straight. I think Eshan Malinga will have to keep walking.

Eshan Malinga drops to one knee to swing and Liam Dawson strikes him on the back leg.

Up goes the umpire's finger - Malinga reviews.

  12. SL 112-8published at 24 overs

A couple more singles from Jamie Overton's over before Asitha Fernando ends the over with a wild swing that gets nowhere near the ball.

  13. SL 110-8published at 23.2 overs

    Glancing header!

Jamie Overton scuds a short delivery off the helmet of Asitha Fernando, who is facing his first delivery, and the ball flies away for four byes.

Fernando is checked by the physios, but he's fine.

On another pitch where that steep bounce does not exist, you can pick it up and hit it over midwicket.

Janith Liyanage had nowhere to go. The bat just pushed the ball way up into the sky.

So many positives from the game in Leeds for a team that had no results.

That was not an easy win. That was a win built on hanging in there and believing right until the end.

Chopped in the air... and caught.

Janith Liyanage top-edges trying to hack Jamie Overton into the leg side and sends the ball up the chimney.

Jordan Cox takes an easy catch.

  17. SL 106-7published at 23 overs

Eshan Malinga arrives at the crease at number nine - he has a batting average of 4.66.

Doesn't bode especially well for the tail holding out.

He takes a single from his second delivery to get off the mark.

Sachindu Colombage decided he would have a swing and hope for the best.

Liam Dawson saw Colombage come at him and he slowed it down.

Colombage was that far down the wicket, he just kept walking basically.

Sri Lanka were in the game, then it all fell apart. They're just not able to keep that momentum up.

Sachindu Colombage was in a different post code for that stumping.

The Sri Lanka spinner charged miles down the track to Liam Dawson and attempted a big heave.

He got nowhere near the ball and Jordan Cox had all the time in the world to take off the bails.

England are three wickets away from wrapping up the series.

Sri Lanka are still some way off avoiding their heaviest defeat in a run chase against England in ODIs, which currently sits at 128 runs (Perth, 1999).
