After a lengthy wait, it is confirmed as an improved jump of 6.99m!
That moves Sawyers back into second place. If she can break that seven metre mark, she could be in the gold medal position.
She looks understandably delighted with her work so far.
Men's 3000m steeplechase
The bell rings and Frederik Ruppert, who had led from the start, ups the pace. He clears the final barrier and surges across the line to win the first major medal of his career. And it's gold!
The German finishes in a time of 8:25.33, with his compatriot Karl Benendorf claiming bronze and Luxembourg's Ruben Querinjean taking silver.
Britain's Kristian Imroth, William Battershill and Zak Seddon finish 12, 14th and 15th respectively.

Azu: "We are super strong in sprinting, and we wanted to showcase that for the British fans. Amy [Hunt] is on the rise. What she has done at these championships is incredible.
"I have never said this, but when I started athletics in 2017, Dina [Asher-Smith] was all everyone was talking about.
"I went and watched all of her tapes. It's an honour and privilege to be on the same team with her. You see these athletes, and you think, 'wow they're incredible' and we're teammates now, which is incredible."
Hughes: "We have never done this before. It was incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Are you not entertained?"

"When I gave that baton to Zharnel [Hughes] I was so happy. I can't lie. I was like 'get this out of my hand'.

Jazmin Sawyers is coming into the form of her life.
The fact she has had an Achilles rupture to jump 6.96m for a season best is fantastic. This is coming together. This will arguably be the best series of her life.
We are going to see Sawyers sail over 7m today.

Unfortunately Molly Palmer cannot improve with her third and final jump, and is in ninth place at the half-way point of the long jump final.
With only the top eight progressing to the final three efforts, Palmer's event is over.
Jaz Sawyers now stands alone for Great Britain.
Men's 3000m steeplechase
Image source, Getty ImagesThere's a trio of British athletes going in the men's 3000m steeplechase final, but they're going to have a difficult task in trying to beat Frederik Ruppert of Germany.
He's the European record holder after running a time of seven minutes 57.80 seconds in May, but he has never won a major medal.
No other man in tonight's field has broken the eight-minute barrier.
The German is leading the way as the athletes hit the 1000m mark.

Image source, Getty ImagesJaz Sawyers has fouled her third jump, and is down to third in the overall standings. She has been overtaken by Hilary Kpatcha of France, who has jumped 6.98m.
Still three jumps to go for Sawyers.
Molly Palmer meanwhile improved to 6.54m after her second effort, and is ninth overall. She needs further improvement to avoid early elimination.
Men's pole vault final
Business as usual for Armand Duplantis in the men's pole vault final.
After passing on 5.70m, he clears 5.85m on his first attempt.
So do Greece's Emmanouil Karalis and Frenchman Baptiste Thiery.

I definitely felt the tension with that first changeover for Great Britain. Going into Zharnel Hughes, they perhaps got too close, but it was a brilliant race. Great Britain delivered on every level.
