Civil society organisations wey dey monitor di Osun State govnorship election don report 323 cases of electoral offences and irregularities across 726 polling units for di ongoing poll.
For one preliminary report dem issue on Saturday evening on X, di organisations wey dey operate under di European Union Support to Democratic Governance for Nigeria Election Observation Hub (EU-SDGN EOH), say dem don document “38 security incidents wit 25 reported cases of thuggery, 12 attacks on electoral officials and nine voter intimidation by security personnel".
Di election observers add say for di 726 polling units dem observe “323 reported cases of electoral offences and irregularities, wey include 103 cases of vote trading, 12 cases of multiple voting, 28 cases of inducement of polling and security officials, 38 cases of campaigning for polling units, 14 cases of voter impersonation, seven cases of misconduct by election officials, 31 cases of obstruction of voters and 85 cases wey involve exposure of ballot papers”.
