    Jones fights back to save them, taking the game to deuce with a superb forehand winner across court, before overpowering Linette in a rally to secure the hold.

    Jones was asked some tough questions there but she had all the answers.

    Already there's so much more variety from Jacob Fearnley in this third set, coming into the net and forcing errors on a couple of occasions as he races to a 40-0 lead.

    A double fault on game point blots his copy book but he closes out the hold without further incident, stepping into a powerful cross-court forehand which his opponent struggles to get a racquet on.

    However, the 27th seed isn't down for long, ripping an angled forehand winner to take the opening game of the third set to deuce.

    Magda Linette is on the money with her returning at the moment as some deep shots land at Fran Jones' toes which the Briton can do little about.

    Jones then plants a forehand into the net to give Linette the double break.

    Nothing Jacob Fearnley can do about that one! A big first serve from the Argentine and it cramps Fearnley for room, with his forehand flying wide.

    He's one set away from the third round - but don't count out the Brit quite yet. He's completed three or four remarkable comeback wins this season, including in his tournament opener when he was 5-2 down in the fourth set before winning 10 of the next 11 games to flip the match on its head.
