  1. DISALLOWED TRYpublished at 49 mins

    Warrington 6-19 Wakefield

Warrington are full of energy and hope after that try from Lindop.

And they think they have a second quickfire try, but this one is chalked off for Kelepi Tanginoa's forward pass out to Matty Ashton.

  2. 'Bad defensive error by Trueman'published at 19:22 BST 3 October

    Warrington 6-19 Wakefield

    Paul Rowley
Former St Helens head coach on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jake Trueman came up with a really bad error defensively there. He's come flying out the lines and give them all the answers and Arron Lindop showed the dummy and he's gone.

Daryl [Powell] will be pulling his hair out at that one. He'll be the more nervous of the two coaches at the minute even though he's winning because he'll be unsure of what he's team is going to offer and Warrington have kind of got no pressure at this minute.

Warrington have points on the board and a bit of momentum and a man less will have put a bit more fuel in the Trinity tank.

Can the Wolves scent any blood?

    Warrington have hit back.

Wolves have been allowed a few cracks at the line, and eventually they make the possession count.

Warrington slide effortlessly out to the right, and Ewan Irwin smartly reads Wakefield's over excitement in defence as he pauses before shifting the ball on for Arron Lindop to slice through.

    It's game on.

The captain's challenge is successful, so they are 20 metres out and staring down a way back into the game.

  7. 'Warrington have sniffed something'published at 19:15 BST 3 October

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Radio 5 Live

    It's game on here.

Warrington have definitely got the wind in their sails. They've sniffed something. They see that Wakefield are down to one defender down this right-hand side and they're trying to open that up but still confident to go down the left-hand side.

  8. captains challenge

    Captain's Challengepublished at 45 mins

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

Wakefield go for a short goal-line drop out, but it seems that Warrington do enough to come up with it.

But the whistle is blown and the referee suggests it's a Wakefield ball.

So we have a captain's challenge.

  9. captains challenge

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

Warrington do as you would expect and throw everything at Wakefield.

Their first set after Corey Hall was sent off ends with George Williams trying to squeeze a grubber kick through.

Max Jowitt is alive to the danger and defuses it. We have a goal-line drop-out.

  10. SIN-BINpublished at 44 mins

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

Corey Hall gets a talking to, but might be relieved just to be shown a yellow card.

He is sin-binned for 10 minutes.

Warrington will have the extra man. Can this be what sparks their Grand Final to life?

  11. 'Both coaches will have been into their players'published at 19:11 BST 3 October

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Radio 5 Live

At half-time Daryl Powell will have been into those players saying that there's 40 minutes to go. We've got to take that same intensity that we had in the opening 40 minutes and just finish this game off because Warrington will have had that same conversation with Sam Burgess. He's an out-and-out winner and he'll be saying to his players that the game hasn't gone. If they can score 19 points, we've done it before this season.

  12. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

Wakefield's Corey Hall could be in some trouble as he takes Arron Lindop high with a tackle.

He might be lucky only to get sin-binned...

  13. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

Both Wakefield and Warrington get through their first set cleanly.

You do wonder how long Warrington can keep playing it safe if they are going to salvage this game.

  14. Second half kick-offpublished at 41 mins

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

We are back up and running at Old Trafford.

Warrington will have to pull off the biggest comeback in Super League Grand Final history to get the better of Wakefield from this point...

  15. Postpublished at 19:06 BST 3 October

"We were very good in the first-half".

The understatement of the season goes to Wakefield head coach Daryl Powell as he talks to Sky Sports after coming back out for the second half.

My grandfather Harry Wilkinson played over 600 games for Trinity in the 1930-40s but never experienced anything like this game.

    Tim, Hurstpierpoint

Don't know how many Trin fans are there, but Wakey was rammed with Trinity shirts this afternoon, starting the party early.

    Dave, Wakefield

Before the match against Wigan last week Wakefield were 18/1 to win the grand final, I bet a whole £2, what odds were they at the start of the season?

I've watched a lot of Wakefield this season and one thing that stood out to me was how physically big and athletic they were.

They're in great shape, great condition and they're finishing this season with energy with a fit side and they're executing perfectly. So, credit to the conditioning staff.

They absolutely deserve the lead, they look so good.

    Warrington 0-19 Wakefield

There is so much nostalgia around this Super League Grand Final, with Warrington and Wakefield looking to climb back to the top of the game after many decades.

But it is also worth pointing out that Wakefield's points came from a few son of a gun performers.

Wakefield try scorer Isaiah Vagana is the son of Super League title winning ex-Bradford Bulls star Joe Vagana, while drop-goal scorer Jack Sinfield is the son of Sir Kevin Sinfield, the seven-time title winner with Leeds.

This is the Trinity of my youth. I am nearly 80 and as a youngster my main recollection of RL (as RU player from down south) was Trinity being THE team. A top class half of RL today.

    Bob, London

Warrington are going down the same path that Wigan chose.

    Michael, Newark

Wakefield, as in last week's game, demolishing their opponents in the first half.

Wakefield Trinity deserve that lead after that performance.

It feels like we've looked completely towards the Warrington end of the field for the full 40 minutes.
