What a start to the half!

Rory Darge gets Scotland on the front foot, breaking a tackle and driving over the gain-line. Pierre Schoeman takes it on, before Ben White snipes round the corner, and pops a little pass up for Mark Bennett to run onto.

The Edinburgh centre races under the posts to stretch the Scottish lead - lovely stuff.

    Quote Message

I expected Scotland to come out and play with more direction, more intensity. Their inaccuracy with the ball sees so many opportunities go. I expected a very different style of performance given the disappointment last week.

  10. try

Try Argentina 6-8 Scotlandpublished at 37 mins

    Hamish Watson

    And that call is justified!

Hamish Watson marks his 50th cap with a try - the forwards pick and go time after time, and eventually Watson forces his way over from close range. I don't think that ball was ever going wide!

Blair Kinghorn pushes the conversion wide.

Los Pumas lead for the first time today.

    Argentina 3-3 Scotland

Here come Scotland again. They make their way to within 10m of the Argentina line, but yet more sloppy handling sees the ball go to ground, and the hosts clear.

The attack just is not working - there are only so many ways I can write "untidy from Scotland".

    Quote Message

Van der Merwe has to stay infield there and give Scotland another phase.

  16. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Argentina 3-3 Scotland

A wonderful take from Darcy Graham suddenly opens things up for Scotland.

The Hawick man cuts inside, finds Blair Kinghorn, who goes wide to Duhan van der Merwe.

He pins his ears back and charges for the corner, but is forced into touch just short of the line.

  17. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Argentina 3-3 Scotland

Scotland's big boys go through the phases - strong carries from the Fagersons and Pierre Schoeman take the men in navy blue to the brink of Argentina's 22.

However, more untidy passing forces Scotland back into their own half.

The accuracy is still not quite there - Gregor Townsend will be so frustrated.

  18. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Argentina 3-3 Scotland

    Warning signs for Scotland.

Santiago Carreras breezes around Zander Fagerson and into a hole far too easily.

A good piece of scramble defence from Duhan van der Merwe halts the Gloucester man, and then Scotland win a much-needed penalty at the breakdown.

  19. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Argentina 3-3 Scotland

Scotland's scrum is solid, but then some very scrappy handling forces the visitors back 30m, before Blair Kinghorn's high up-and-under sails out on the full.

    Sloppy.

A precise box kick from Ben White gives Duhan van der Merwe the chance to compete aerially - the Worcester winger puts Santiago Cordero off, and wins Scotland a scrum.
