I've known Adam a long time and he will reflect on this hard with his team and will come up with some news goals. There have been many iterations of Adam and I'm sure we'll see another.

We are under way in the 10,000m final but no one has properly taken it on just yet.

No doubt her team-mate and reigning champion - at least, for a short while - Eilish McColgan, who was forced to withdraw following a toe injury, is watching at home cheering her on.

Jersey's Filip Nowacki, who won silver in the 100m breaststroke on Saturday, finished fifth in that one, while Scotland's Archie Goodburn was tied for last place with Canada's Oliver Dawson.

I wonder how Adam Ramsay-Peaty will feel about that one.

He couldn't hide his disappointment on Saturday night when he took bronze in the 100m breaststroke, but he has since said he is proud of the achievement, having not competed much since Paris 2024.

It was a slow start from the Englishman and he wasn't able to claw back the distance in the end.

Adam Ramsay-Peaty was in tears on Saturday night and said he "deserved more" after he settled for the bronze medal in the men's 100m breaststroke.

Earlier today, he posted a lengthy statement on Instagram in order to celebrate his 50th championship medal on the international stage.

"Bronze in the 100m was a bittersweet moment, I must put it into the perspective that it’s my first championship since Paris 2024," he said.

"But with that, I know in my soul that I am capable of much more, as all athletes, I push myself to the extremity in training for better results.

"The race just didn’t come together unfortunately and I am building my race skills back together.

"The canvas is set and I know this story won’t be filled with glory, victory and gold. However I’ll keep fighting, learning, adapting and striving for excellence until I can no longer give anymore."

For the last two years, the 25-year-old has been fighing brain cancer. And yet he is in the best shape of his swimming career, breaking the Scottish record in recent months.

The Edinburgh swimmer was understandably emotional on Sunday night after securing his place in this final. But like any elite athlete, he wants more than that. Will this remarkable young man get the medal he craves?

What a story this is for Scotland's Archie Goodburn.

An extraordinary athlete whose life expectancy has been slashed by incurable brain tumours, the 25-year-old said getting a medal at his home Commonwealth Games would be the "proudest moment of my entire life".

This time it's Keanna MacInnes with silver. She was third at the turn but finished fast to snatch second.

It looked like she was out of it halfway down that back 50m, but a strong finish sees her finish just behind Australia's Alex Perkins in the gold-medal spot.

South Africa's Erin Gallagher gets the bronze.

Canada's Ethan Katzberg looks formidable.

The Olympic and world champion is the hot favourite for the men's hammer throw and he's already chucked out a games record of 80.97m.

This is an event he hasn't won yet having got silver in Birmingham four years ago and will be keen on adding a new gold to his collection.

Keanna MacInnes was the third fastest qualifier, with Ciara Schlosshan sixth and Lucy Grieve seventh. All three have looked in fine form so far so could the Glasgow crowd give them that extra edge?

Wales' Ellie Bowen, 17, has gone top with a throw of 6.48m.

A personal best for her. Will it be enough?
