Olympic champion Matt Richards will swim for the first time in this Games for Wales.

With four fourth places in Birmingham, he is still looking for his first Commonwealth medal, could tonight be it?

Wales have gone for an entirely different quartet in the pool for the mixed relay tonight with Kieran Bird, Harry Milne, Medi Harris and Meghan Higgs making way for Richards, Dan Jones, Rebecca Sutton and Theodora Taylor.

Sutton qualified for the 100m backstroke semi-final earlier as did Theodora Taylor in the 100m breaststroke, but both pulled out with a full focus on tonight's relay.

Richards, Jones and Sutton swam the Welsh record in this event four years ago alongside Medi Harris.

With Australia and England swimming faster than that in the heats this morning, you feel they would likely have to set a new national record to get on the podium.

    You can't keep him away...

Commonwealth Games poster boy Duncan Scott is back in the Tollcross pool tonight, racing second for Scotland in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay final.

Scott secured Team Scotland's first medal - and sparked bedlam in Glasgow - winning gold in the men’s 200m individual medley on Friday night.

There was a wee feeling he might sit out of this one and enjoy his weekend - as much as these guys can - but he will follow Evan Jones tonight.

Evie Davis and Katie Shanahan - who scooped silver in the 200m backstroke backstroke last night - complete the new-look Scotland team.

Stefan Krawiec, Jensen Norris, Evie Mackie and Megan Barnes represented Scotland in the heats earlier, finishing second to Jamaica.

Abi Martin knows what she has to do.

    No margin for error.

    AND THERE ARE NO ERRORS.

That is surely enough to get England on the podium.

The World bronze medallist showed her class when it mattered most.

So much to take in there but that will have to wait.

It's time for the 4x100m mixed freestyle relay.

England, Scotland, Wales and Isle of Man all in this one. Australia - who else? - the big favourites.

Women's Team Final plus individual apparatus qualifying

Alia Leat is third to go for England.

It's another good routine with just a couple of minor infractions.

It should be good enough to pip Wales into third place, but... you never know.

    It's only 12.150. Gosh. No.

England need 12.350 or better from Abi Martin in the final routine to pip Wales to bronze.

What a race - but, as so often has been the case, when all is said and done, it's an Australian left celebrating!

Incredible. It could have gone to any one of four swimmers with 20m to go but Sam Williamson pushed through to take the gold.

He is the new Commonwealth Games champion.

One routine tonight, a delayed start, and she's absolutely smashed it.

She lands a huge double-Arabian inbounds with the tiniest hop and finishes with a double-tuck somersault.

    Fantastic. Especially considering the context.

12.300, which seems low, but her routine was of lower difficulty than some others.

    Here we go then.

    It's Adam Ramsay-Peaty time.

The Englishman wants redemption after losing this title four years ago but will be pushed all the way by 18-year-old Filip Nowacki of Jersey.

Then there's Australia's Sam Williamson, second fastest in qualifying, and South Africa's Michael Houlie.

    This should be a cracker!

Second goes to Canada's Sophie Angus with another South African, Kaylene Corbett in third.

Northern Ireland's Ellie Mc Cartney is fourth and in with a shout of making the final.

Technically, so is Scotland's Anna Morgan in fifth but she'll need the second semi-final to be that much slower than the first.
