It’s been a morning of BIG scorelines here at the Hydro as New Zealand and Australia dominated the court.
Scotland suffered a heavy 74-44 loss to the Kiwis while debutants Tonga were defeated 99-38 by the defending champions Australia.
Many believe that the gold medal is Australia’s gold medal to lose, like so many years before. The stats speak for themselves; they achieved a 94% goal accuracy against Tonga. That’ll be hard for England to ignore before they face the Aussies tomorrow.

Northern Ireland walked out to the court for their warm-up to the tune of 'Tell Me Ma' and that got the pockets of NI fans dotted around the Hydro up on their feet and dancing.

In a pool with world number one Australia and five-ranked South Africa, it will not be straightforward to reach the semi-finals.
