Notice anything special about Lauren Bell's helmet as she claimed bronze with Scotland in women's team sprint yesterday?

Probably not as she was going so fast...

But the cyclist, who hails from Forres in Moray in the north east was wearing a helmet customised by a pupil from her former school.

She approached Forres Academy asking if any pupils would like to design her a helmet for the Commonwealth Games.

"Looking at my helmet now reinforces who and what I’m representing: the place I’m honoured to call my home," she said.

The Moray-themed helmet displays hills flowers and streams at the edges of the helmet, and a Royal Airforce fighter jet on the front, alluding to the Lossiemouth RAF station in Moray.

She'll be wearing it again when competing in the Women's 1000m Time Trial and the Women's Keirin.

Fin Graham just can't live with the time of Australia's Gordon Allan, despite an absolutely blistering final lap.

He was nearly a second down but finished just 0.166s behind after a stunning final circuit.
