A slick Kerry counter sees Seán O'Shea find Graham O'Sullivan, who picks out Clifford on the right to split the posts for his first score of the afternoon.

His effort drifts just wide, but the defending champions have started brightly inside the opening four minutes.

The former Monaghan forward Stephen Gollogly passed away earlier this week at the age of 41.

Gollogly was part of the Monaghan side who secured Ulster titles in 2013 and 2015 and also won Allianz Football League medals in Division Two and Division Three.

Before throw-in, Croke Park paused to remember former Monaghan footballer Stephen Gollogly, who passed away earlier this week aged 41.

The two-time Ulster champion, who made 133 senior appearances for Monaghan, was honoured with a minute's applause ahead of today's All-Ireland final.
