    Ferrari did a good job managing that car today to be fair, not in the same league as Red Bull or Mercedes or frankly even McLaren. Hard days work.

    Ferrari seriously need to question their strategy team after this race. How long can a supposed top team bungle race strategy this often and continue with seemingly no repercussions? They should be embarrassed at throwing away a definite podium and further closing of the gap in the driver’s championship.

    George Russell, as you might imagine, sounds delighted to win his second Austrian Grand Prix.

    That's lifted him up to second in the drivers' standings at the expense of Lewis Hamilton who had a difficult time in his Ferrari and finished fifth having started the race in third.

    Kimi Antonelli seals a podium finish as he maintains his championship lead.

    Meanwhile further down the order, the Racing Bulls of Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson both score points while Charles Leclerc finishes seventh after a similarly miserable race as Hamilton.

    Lando Norris, who had a brake issue before the race started ends in seventh with his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri finishing fourth while Isack Hadjar steers his Red Bull into sixth.

    All over and George Russell wins an absolute cracker of an Austrian Grand Prix.

    Russell bags his second win of the season and what a morale-boosting victory that is.

    Kimi Antonelli can't quite overtake Max Verstappen in the final lap but did manage to get within an agonising three tenths of the Dutchman.

    Kimi Antonelli, you've seen him pushing as hard as he can over the last two laps, using every single inch of track on the exit of Turn Nine and Turn 10, tyring to catch up to Max Verstappen. Kimi Antonelli's tyres have done 17 laps, Max Verstappen's 19, George Russell has done 25, is there anything else Antonelli can do?

    That gap between Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen is under one second!

    Antonelli will have the power available to mount an overtake if he can get close enough. And Verstappen goes wide but holds position. The pressure is on going into the final lap.

    Is there enough time left for the championship leader to launch an audacious pursuit of the four-time world champion?

  10. Lap 67 and it's very much as you were with the top five, which hasn't changed for a short while.

    George Russell looks in line to seal victory, Max Verstappen's put up a good fight in second and Kimi Antonelli's hovered around in third for much of the latter stages of this race.

    There's a fair gap between that trio and Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton in fourth and fifth respectively.

    If George Russell is to win this grand prix, it is going to be his second win of the season, the first since Melbourne, the opening grand prix of the year.

    Has this Red Bull upgrade given him some confidence in the team long term? It's not just his performance that's been impressive today but his team-mate Isack Hadjar's driven a more understated but still impressive race.

  13. We are into the 64th lap of this race and the top three are vying for top spot but George Russell is only 4.7 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen.

    He is, however, now beginning to catch the backmarkers.

    George Russell looking to bounce back from a relatively disappointing run of form recently but he has driven brilliantly so far this afternoon. What has Max Verstappen got though? Has he got anything left in the tank?

  16. To keep a beady eye on the frontrunners, I've spoken a lot about Max Verstappen's rapid pace in his pursuit of George Russell.

    But Kimi Antonelli's taken a good chunk out of Verstappen in third.

    We're going to run out of laps you'd think but a three-way battle for first would be cracking entertainment wouldn't it?

    He's eighth now but 24.5 seconds behind Lando Norris. I guess why not roll the dice and see what happens on the optimal tyre for this track and conditions with this amount of laps to go.

  18. Max Verstappen came out the pits with a 10.7 second deficit to George Russell earlier.

    He's carved five seconds out of that and there's still 10 laps left of this race to go.
