    Woking have signed Ipswich Town duo Steven Turner and Tommy Taylor on loan for for the remainder of the season.

    Midfielder Turner, 19, went on his first loan spell to National League side Wealdstone in November, playing seven games.

    Forward Taylor, 20, spent the first half of the campaign with Cheltenham in League Two, making 12 appearances.

    The pair have also played for the Tractor Boys' Under-21 side this season.

    Woking are currently 10th in the National League, nine points adrift of the play-offs with two games in hand.

    The Cards are unbeaten with 15 points from seven matches under interim head coach Jake Hyde following the sacking of Neal Ardley at the start of March.

    Woking midfielder Tim Akinola has signed a new two-year-deal that will keep him at the club until 2028.

    The 24-year-old has made 32 National League appearances so far this season, scoring once.

    Akinola spent time in Arsenal's academy before leaving in 2023 to join Qatari side Al Bidda SC.

    Since his return to England he has had spells at clubs including Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge, Solihull Moors and Gateshead before joining Woking last summer.

    Cardinals director of football Jody Brown said that other teams had been showing interest in Akinola before he committed to his new deal.

    "There has been some genuine interest in Timmy from other clubs, including formal offers that we have turned down," Brown said.

    "We feel that this deal is an illustration of the belief from both the club and the player in what can be achieved here at our football club during the coming seasons."

    Woking have signed forward Kian Pennant from Leicester City on a contract until the end of the season.

    The 21-year-old has made 12 appearances on loan at Gateshead this season, scoring one goal.

    "He's here until the end of the season, perhaps filling the profile that Josh Osude offered, but there's certainly a possibility of that being extended," Woking's director of football Jody Brown told the club's website, external.
