    Gateshead have signed Slough Town goalkeeper Adam Desbois on a deal until the end of the season and Grimsby winger Zak Gilsenan on loan.

    Desbois, 25, made 33 appearances for National League South outfit Slough this season.

    Gilsenan, 22, recently scored three goals in nine league appearances on loan at National League North side Buxton and will spend the rest of the campaign with the Heed.

    Both players could feature against fellow strugglers Braintree on Wednesday.

    Gateshead are 10 points adrift of safety in the National League.

    Ex-Gateshead player Curtis Edwards has joined Swedish side Ostersunds on a two-year contract.

    Midfielder Edwards, 32, left Gateshead last week by mutual contract, having played 23 games following a free transfer from Notts County last August.

    He now returns to Ostersunds for a second spell, having previously played there under current Sweden head coach Graham Potter.

    Gateshead have signed forward Josh Anifowose from National League South side Eastbourne Borough on a deal until the end of next season.

    The 22-year-old joins for an undisclosed fee having scored twice in 35 appearances for Eastbourne this season.

    "Josh is a very talented young player, and we are really pleased that he has come to join us," Heed boss Rob Elliot told the club website., external

    "He works hard, wants to learn and will add quality and real attacking threat to the squad, and we are looking forward to working with him over the next 18 months."

    Gateshead have signed Crawley Town defender Ben Radcliffe on loan until the end of the season.

    The 22-year-old previously had a loan spell with the Heed in 2024-25 and scored twice in 19 league appearances.

    He returns with the club nine points adrift of safety at the bottom of the National League table and on a run of 14 successive defeats in all competitions.
