  1. Moore-Taylor out for three months with broken anklepublished at 15:22 GMT 4 December 2025

Forest Green Rovers captain Jordan Moore-Taylor has broken his ankle in training and will miss the next three months.

The centre-back has played in 18 out of 21 National League matches for the club this season.

Ryan Inniss has also pulled a calf muscle and will be on the sidelines for six weeks.

Boss Robbie Savage said he has had conversations with director of football Mark Bowen and the club ownership about bringing in another centre-half or defensive midfielder.

"We've gone from having four first choice centre-halves to having [Laurent] Mendy and [Abraham] Kanu and the way we play right now, we've probably only got three defensively minded players in the team," Savage told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

Forest Green Rovers have signed goalkeeper Harry Isted until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old was a free agent having left Burton Albion and comes in as cover after Rovers' first choice goalkeeper Luke McNicholas was injured earlier this week.

Isted has also had spells at Charlton Athletic, Luton Town and Barnsley.
