    Crystal Palace 1-2 Ipswich Town

Leif Davis is the first Ipswich defender to both score and assist in a Premier League game since Ben Johnson vs Chelsea in April 2025.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:49 BST 12 September

    Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford

Marcus Tavernier is absolutely fuming after a challenge on Aaron Hickey. It was just a shove but I reckon it's more the reaction than the actual challenge that has got his name in Jarred Gillett's book.

He's seething and makes his feelings known.

Fantastic from Hull City so far, Mr Jakirovic has done unbelievable for Hull City, give that man the freedom of the City, good luck to the boys for the rest of the season, I've supported Hull City since 1987, loving it at the moment.

    Craig, Dagenham

My son is not happy. He missed the trip to Chelsea today because he had to work. Hopefully he will get another opportunity this season for a special away day.

    Tony, Hull

Wow! Hull City are having an amazing start to the season. I think we should talk about them as Arsenal and City's nearest challengers instead of the team they're currently beating...

    Aadam Patel
    Football Reporter at Anfield

Liverpool have had chances but they've lacked any kind of rhythm and intensity here. It has to be better in the second half for Andoni Iraola's side.

There's a cheer from the Fulham away end as the half-time scoreline from Stamford Bridge has just been announced.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 BST 12 September

    Chelsea 1-2 Hull

Mohamed Belloumi's first two Premier League goals have Hull City ahead at the break - and top of the table - after an early Morgan Rogers strike for Chelsea.

    HT: Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fulham have by far been the better team. Liverpool have been leggy and lousy. They've offered very little and I'll certainly expect a response in this second half.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:48 BST 12 September

    Aston Villa 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Forest defender Murillo shoves down John McGinn and gets a yellow card.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:48 BST 12 September

    Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford

A late surge in the first half for Brentford but Bournemouth do enough to clear the danger.

Igor Thiago goes into the book just before the break for a foul on James Hill. Bit of a nuaghty one.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 BST 12 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

Not much excitement at Anfield. Gonzalo Garcia had an effort off the line for Fulham and Liverpool's Victor Munoz had an attempt pushed on to the bar.

    Goalless.

  10. Postpublished at 15:47 BST 12 September

    Aston Villa 0-0 Nottingham Forest

One of the clearest chances of the game. James McAtee finds Neco Williams in space on the edge of the box but the Forest defender shoots well over.

What about that for timing? Ipswich Town are ahead!

Defender Leif Davis pops up at the back post to head home after a clever flick-on from Emersonn.

You could sense there was an opportunity for the visitors to take the lead before the break, and they have done exactly that.

To be real title contenders, you have to have a foundation and you have to be solid in your structure. You can't be conceding two or more goals in every game. It makes it so difficult and it's not good enough. They need to make it harder for teams to score against them.

You rely on your front three to score goals and create for the team, but there's going to be games where that doesn't happen and it's not flowing, so you need to make sure that you've got the structure and strength at the back to stop teams from creating opportunities.

  17. Postpublished at 15:45 BST 12 September

    Crystal Palace 1-1 Ipswich Town

It feels like there is a real opportunity for Ipswich to get themselves ahead before half-time.

Palace have been a bit all over the place since Axel Disasi's dismissal and are clearly keen for the break so they can sort one or two things out.

  18. Postpublished at 15:45 BST 12 September

    Aston Villa 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Forest's Neco Williams takes too long over a throw-in so the referee blows his whistle and gives Villa a throw instead.

It's been a leggy Liverpool in this first half. Fulham are looking much sharper and brighter.

  20. Postpublished at 15:44 BST 12 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

Dominik Szoboszlai's cross is met first-time by Bradley Barcola on the volley and the strike is going well wide, only to deflect behind for a corner, but that comes to nothing for the hosts.

Liverpool well below their best so far.
