Hearts head coach Wouter Vrancken tells BBC Scotland: "I think Benfica are very experienced and we also saw last week that when you give them some space, some room, then they're clinical.
"We didn't deserve the six goals last week, but again we had to make a good performance to keep the confidence that we had on Sunday.
"I think the performance was excellent today against a side with a lot of millions on the pitch.
"Maybe it's a pity that we drew because we could also win the game, but when you see the overall performance, it's amazing to see.
"That's what we want to see, without taking stupid risks, but trying to play football and trying to use the spaces there are.
"It has to give confidence because we're realistic in the result of course after last week, but the aim was also to show yourselves here and to show who we are and to get confidence out of the performance and I think we succeeded in that."

Last season aside, Rangers have been a pretty good Europa League team across recent campaigns, so to hear their manager say they are now not ready for that level is alarming.

"We huffed and puffed and even when we threw [Emmanuel] Fernandez up, we still don't make the right decisions.
"The club is built for the Champions League and Europa League, but I don't think the team is ready for it and it pains me to say it.
"We need to get more quality, we need to get more confidence into the team.
"That is the job I came into Rangers to do. Rangers finishing third last season, what was served up wasn't good enough.
"We have to get things moving in the right way quickly.
"We should be winning this game. Jagiellonia are a decent team with some good players and I think they're well coached, but Rangers at their best should be winning this.
"We have work to do to get ready for a cup tie against St Mirren on Sunday."

Rangers manager Derek McInnes: "In the four games we've had, there's been some good moments, but it's not been good enough and certainly not a strong enough 90-minute performance.
He describes the lead up to the goal conceded tonight as "madness".
"It is not a lack of bodies," he adds. "It is a lack of intelligence and a lack of doing the right thing.
"Once they equalised, it is so difficult because the players lose confidence, the situation becomes a bit desperate and I thought we just lost all of our composure after that."

Here's more from Rangers boss Derek McInnes as he speaks to the media. He is asked about the team being booed off at the end.
"I think it was justified to be honest," he says. "What we served up in the second half was not good enough.
"It was a bit too open in the first half and obviously [Djeidi] Gassama and [Daisuke] Yokota playing wide, we were asking a lot of them to do that for 90 minutes, but I thought it paid dividends in terms of penalty box action.
"I thought we were good value going in at 1-0 at half-time.
"We took Thelo [Aasgaard] off at half-time because we thought he was not getting involved enough.
"We go a back four to get Gassama and Yokoto more involved higher up the pitch.
"But I have to say it was the lack of ability to put in a 90-minute performance."

"I thought we were good value for 1-0. I thought they had a few scary moments but I just think where we are at the moment, as a team, I thought the goal would help us. We changed the shape to try to get Djeidi Gassama and Daisuke Yokota more involved.
"We stopped playing into our strikers and lost a bit of control of the game. At 1-0 the game is in the balance, we've still got it all to do. We had to step it up to go and get the next goal, and we never did.
"The goal was systematic of the types of goals we've lost throughout pre-season."

"Massive, massive credit to the players, they put everything out there. We can't be anything other than pleased with that.
"Ibrahim [Said] has been so good for us so far this season in all the games he's been involved in, except against Falkirk when he maybe didn't manage to show his offensive skills, but tonight he was brilliant.
"I would also like to mention Alex Lowry's second half was also very strong, but you could mention so many guys.
"We were brave and looked better on the ball than we did on Sunday, that was most pleasing. The effort is always there so it's about maintaining the bravery and playing the way we want on the ball and tonight we did it.
"Tonight I'm going to go home and feed my baby so my wife can sleep. We'll come back in tomorrow and recover, then we look forward to the next task which is Sunday.

Rangers crashed out of the Europa League as former Oxford United striker Nik Prelec's equaliser on the night took Jagiellonia Bialystok into the play-off round on aggregate.
It leaves Derek McInnes still waiting for a win after four games as the Glasgow side's manager and means they will have to beat Czech team Jablonec if they are to extend their European campaign into the Conference League.
The hosts failed to build on Lawrence Shankland's first Rangers goal, which had levelled the aggregate score at 2-2, and Jagiellonia were comfortable victors after Prelec's reply.
Visiting goalkeeper Slawomir Abramowicz beat away efforts from Dujon Sterling and captain Shankland, but it was Jagiellonia who came closest in an end-to-end start.
Jesus Imaz fired a low 20-yard drive off the inside of a post and across the face of goal before the veteran striker also volleyed tamely into the arms of goalkeeper Ivor Pandur.
However, it was Rangers who took the lead when Daisuke Yokota's low cutback into the six-yard box was spotted by VAR striking the arm of former Celtic centre-half Yuki Kobayashi and Scotland striker Shankland stepped up to slot the opener.
Jagiellonia continued to threaten and Imaz again stung the palms of Pandur before Prelec could only fire across the face of goal on the slide.
McInnes replaced midfielder Thelo Aasgaard with Ross McCrorie at half-time as he reverted to a back four and the replacement was found wanting at the back post when Prelec rose to head home a fine Anders Klynge cross.
McInnes was throwing everything off the bench and Findlay Curtis' fine cross gave fellow substitute Bojan Miovski a sight at goal from six yards, but the striker headed wastefully wide of the far post.
Their final chance was gone and McInnes was left facing a nightmare start as Rangers manager, with he and his side greeted with a chorus of boos from those fans who had remained in a half-empty Ibrox by full-time.
Missing left-back Tuur Rommens through injury, as well as big-money striker Youssef Chermiti, McInnes moved to a back three among five changes from Sunday's defeat by Hibernian.
Jagiellonia counterpart Adrian Siemieniec promised his side would be dangerous on the counter and so it proved as they took advantage of the extra space out wide of the home defence.
Rangers certainly heeded McInnes plea for "more risk", but it took a moment of fortune to hand them the lead as Kobayashi, who had overcome a knock to start, mistimed his clearing header to give away the spot-kick.
The switch to a back four at the break, with midfielder Aasgaard replaced with McCrorie, playing an unfamiliar left-back role, led to Rangers losing all fluidity.
McCrorie looked to be at fault as Prelec headed what proved to be the decisive goal.
No matter how many changes McInnes made thereafter, the anticipated late pressure on the Jagiellonia penalty box failed to materialise.
McInnes earned plenty of plaudits for taking Hearts to within minutes of a shock Scottish title last season.
What a difference a few months make and the former Ibrox midfielder is already facing a crisis - two Scottish Premiership games without a win, now out of the Europa League, all with a bit of a whimper.

Rangers are in Premier Sports Cup last-16 action on Sunday at home to holders St Mirren (16:00) before facing Jablonec, who earlier defeated RFS of Latvia, in the Conference League play-off first leg next Thursday.
