Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage, speaking to TNT Sports: "I think it could be better if we score before but I know too that Dean Henderson kept us in the game with his saves. I like the energy of the team and to never give up until the end. This goal came at a good moment. We maybe had a last chance to win the game."

On Adam Wharton's red card: "I never comment on the decision of the referee. It's difficult to play without him, we suffered just after that but we reorganised ourselves to play with a back four."

On Palace receiving many yellow cards: "For sure we want to take less cards because we need all the players for all the competition. Today, with the energy and the fight, I think we were in a situation to take the risk of some cards. Now we just have to understand that we don't have to be in this situation by managing our game in a better way from the beginning."

On Liverpool coming up at the weekend: "First of all recovery and we have to build the gameplan because it's a crazy team with really good players. They lost their two last games. I think they will come with a lot of ambition and we have to deal with that."

On whether Axel Disasi will be available at the weekend: "Yes."

  17. 'Will concede a lot if we play like this v Liverpool'published at 20:54 GMT

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-1 Hoffenheim

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Daichi Kamada, speaking to TNT Sports: "My first chance I had to score and then my goal was just a little bit lucky. We are not satisfied about the result so we need to keep working hard and we have to improve a lot."

On what Crystal Palace can take going into the Liverpool game: "If we play like today against Liverpool, we will concede a lot and lose definitely. We have to switch on and defend better. We have to play better, everything."

  18. 'Tough at times'published at 20:52 GMT

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-1 Hoffenheim

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace's Tyrick Mitchell, speaking to TNT Sports: "It was tough at times, especially going down to 10 men. Thankfully we stayed resilient and thankfully got the goal."

On the referee handing out many cards: "It was definitely difficult because every time you went in for a challenge, maybe it was a little bit late but he was giving out yellows. At the same time, we've got to be a bit more disciplined".

On what the topics of conversation in the dressing room are: "Stay together. We know what we're capable of and what we're able to do. It's just about sticking together and working hard on and off the pitch".
