Barcelona 3-0 Feyenoord
Barcelona make some changes, too.
Anthony Gordon and Marc Bernal come on.
Karim Adeyemi and Pedri make way.
Raphinha continued his remarkable goalscoring start to the season with another double as Barcelona turned on the style against Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Former Arsenal and Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus got off the mark with his first Barcelona goal late in the game, by which point his fellow Brazilian had given the home side a tight grip.
In-form Raphinha produced an outrageous moment of skill to take out two opponents before calmly stroking his side into a third-minute lead.
That was Raphinha's seventh goal in five games, with the former Leeds United player finding the back of the net in all five matches this season.
Feyenoord are managed by Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was a Champions League winner in 2005-06 with Barcelona, and the Dutch side had appeals for a penalty waved away when Anis Hadj Moussa went down inside the box in the 20th minute.
Moments later Barcelona doubled their lead through Karim Adeyemi's 20-yard curling finish into the top right corner, which the summer recruit from Borussia Dortmund celebrated with a trademark back-flip celebration.
Barcelona's third came when Raphinha fired across the keeper in the 57th minute after a well-timed run - his eighth goal of the campaign and the third time in five games he has scored twice.
Free-scoring Barcelona added a fourth with Lamine Yamal's 77th-minute free-kick, but they are still seeking a first clean sheet in the competition since April 2025 after substitute Sem Steijn grabbed an 82nd-minute consolation.
Barca added a fifth through Gabriel Jesus, who arrived from Arsenal at the start of the month and headed in his new team's 22nd goal in five games this season.

UEFA Champions League
All competitions
The only previous meetings between Barcelona and Feyenoord came in the last 16 of the 1974-75 European Cup, with the Spanish side progressing 3-0 on aggregate (0-0 away, 3-0 at home).
No Dutch side has ever won away to Barcelona in European competition (D3 L7), while the Spanish team have averaged 3.1 goals per game across these 10 previous fixtures (31 goals in total).
This will be the 21st time that Barcelona have played their opening game of a European Cup/UEFA Champions League campaign at home – they have won 18 of the previous 20 (D1 L1), with their only defeat coming against Bayern Munich in 2021-22 (0-3).
Feyenoord lost five games in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League (their most recent appearance), their joint-most defeats in single edition of the competition (along with 2017-18).
Among managers with 10+ games in the UEFA Champions League, Hansi Flick has both the highest win percentage (72.7%) and the highest goals per game ratio (3). Indeed, since he took over at Barcelona in 2024, the Catalan side have scored the most goals per game of any side in the competition (2.88 – 75 in 26 games).
This will be Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s third season as a manager in the UEFA Champions League, after 2017-18 with current club Feyenoord (P6 W1 L5) and Rangers in 2022-23 (P6 L6). He has lost 11 of his previous 12 matches in the competition.
Barcelona are currently on their longest ever run without a clean sheet in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League (15 games). Their last shutout in the competition was in April 2025 against Borussia Dortmund (4-0), conceding 30 goals in 15 matches since then.
Since the start of the 2024-25 campaign, only Harry Kane (29) has been directly involved in more goals than Raphinha (26 – 16 goals, 10 assists) in the UEFA Champions League. Indeed, he is the only player with 10+ goals and 10+ assists in this period.
19-year-old Shaqueel van Persie could make his UEFA Champions League debut for Feyenoord, following in the footsteps of his father Robin, who was also 19 when he debuted in the competition for the Dutch side (October 2002 v Dynamo Kyiv).
Barcelona’s Rodri has only ended on the losing side in eight of his 62 career games in the UEFA Champions League (W41 D13). His loss percentage (12.9%) is the lowest of any midfielder to make 50+ appearances in the competition.
