Well there's not long to go now until kick off with less than 10 minutes remaining.

The atmopshere is building nicely with former Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse receiving a hostile reception from the thousands of Portsmouth fans already in their seats.

He starts on the bench today but I'm sure that won't stop the Pompey fans from singing about him as the game gets underway.

Both of the sides are finishing their warm-ups with a decent number of supporters already in the ground.

In his first competitive game in charge, Nicky Hayen names former England and Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker in his Burnley starting XI while Joe Worrall captains the Clarets from centre-back.

Zian Flemming leads the line while Marcus Edwards and Jacob Bruun Larsen will hope to provide him with service from out wide.

Notts County boss Martin Paterson hands a debut to five new boys in total as James Gibbons, a new arrival from Cambridge United, starts at the back and Dean Campbell is also in after joining from Northampton Town yesterday.

Swansea loanee Ollie Cooper will hope to help Lee Ndlovu in attack, while Jack Evans and Darius Lipsiuc also make their first appearances for the Magpies.

Club-record signing Alfie Devine makes the starting line-up for Paul Heckingbottom’s Preston side, after he impressed with eight goals in 45 league appearances on loan with the Lilywhites last season.

Lee Nicholls, who signed from Preston, and Jusef Erabi only make the bench.

For Huddersfield, it is a triple debut for goalkeeper Matty Young, Ashley Fletcher, and Derensili Sanches Fernandes.

Martin Drury might also choose to introduce new players Ethan Brierley, and Ibane Bowat, who signed from Portsmouth earlier this week.

As you might expect, there's a few new names in the XI for Sheffield Wednesday.

Summer signings Mason Burstow, Harry Gray, Callum Slattery, Jordi Liongola and Sil Swinkels are all on to make their Owls debut.

Joe Lumley is back between the sticks as club legend Barry Bannan will also be making his official return after spending half-a-season away at Millwall.

Fellow new signings Louie Barry, Ricardo Santos and Connal Trueman are available from the bench but Billy Mitchell is nursing an ankle injury, though the former Lions man will return to training on Sunday.

Bolton, though, have their own fair share of debutants.

Why change a winning formula? Birmingham feature 10 of the same XI they had for their blockbuster pre-season friendly win over Barcelona, with only South Korea international Paik Seung-Ho joining the action at the start.

A very cagey first half comes to an end and it's goalless at Loftus Road.

The fans are enjoying a bright, sunny day, but are yet to see much in the way of goalmouth action in this London derby.

Harvey Vale does well to work himself a yard of space to get a shot away for QPR but is quickly crowded out by the Millwall backline.

The Lions defence did plenty of that kind of work last season and Alex Neil appears to have ensured they remain well drilled.

It’s a first start for Federico Ravaglia in goal for Watford, and a debut for Omar Traore, Iker Bravo and Luca Kjerrumgaard, who all signed from Udinese over the summer.

Jordan Zemura and Martin Payero also came from the Italian side, but have to settle for the bench on this occasion.
