    Luke Thomas creates the space for Leicester and drives the ball across the six yard box, but Bobby De Cordova-Reid just isn't fast enough to get there.

  2. West Ham 2-1 Portsmouth

    A few ooh's as some clever footwork from West Ham ends up at Valentin Castellanos' feet in the box but an excellently timed block from Terry Devlin saves a third goal.

    Excellent stuff from the Northern Ireland international.

    Preston 0-1 Huddersfield

    There's a change for each side as Preston bring on Liam Lindsay to replace Andrija Vukcevic, and Huddersfield swap Lynden Gooch for Bali Mumba.

    Ben House is played in on the right of the area for Lincoln and thunders an effort narrowly wide of the mark.

    It crashes into the side-netting and for just a split second, it looked like it had flown in.

    Moments later, Adam Reach almost bundles in at the far post but his effort from close range is blocked and goes behind.

    Good start to the second 45 by the Imps.

    Burnley haven't taken long to draw level in this second half...

    Marcus Edwards clips a clever ball through for Zian Flemming, who takes an excellent first touch to bring it under control before clipping a deft dink over James Belshaw in the Notts County goal.

    It rolls into the far corner and we're all square again at Turf Moor.

    Stoke hit the front early in the second half!

    It's a wicked corner from the left-hand side by Sorba Thomas, whipping the ball into the middle, and the unfortunate Ollie Norburn accidentally heads the ball into his own net.

    Replays suggest Norburn is slightly unlucky here as a team-mate runs in front of his line of sight just as he goes to head the ball away.

    Stoke won't care about that though.

    West Ham majority shareholder David Sullivan is in the stands to watch his side take on Portsmouth this afternoon.

    The 77-year-old had been advised to steer clear of the grounds after an investigation by BBC Panorama and The Times revealed seven women have accused Sullivan of sexually exploitative and predatory behaviour.

    Sullivan, who resigned from his position as co-chair following the accusations, categorically denies the allegations.

    FT: QPR 1-1 Millwall - Millwall win 2-0 on penalties

    Millwall are into the second round of the EFL Cup!

    QPR goalkeeper Pierce Charles makes a fine stop to deny Tairyk Arconte but Lukas Jensen pulls off a FOURTH save of the shootout to keep out Kwame Poku.

    And that is that. The Lions win 2-0 on penalties.

    Quite astonishing from the Millwall goalkeeper.

    QPR 0-2 Millwall - penalty shootout

    Jake Cooper slots Millwall in front from the first spot-kick, sending Pierce Charles the wrong way in the QPR goal, before Ilias Chair's effort is saved by Lukas Jensen, diving to his right to deny the Hoops.

    Mark Sykes, on debut for the Lions after joining from Bristol City, then puts that late own goal out of his mind to place into the corner.

    Harvey Vale steps up for QPR's second but Jensen is equal to it once again - diving to his left to make a brilliant save.

    We all know goals change games and that's what's happened here.

    Everybody was sort of expecting that West Ham approach from the beginning. They have the quality but they haven't shown the attitude until that first goal in the 42nd minute.

    Birmingham had one of the poorest away records in the Championship last season, but they lead at the break at Swansea thanks to a late set-piece goal from August Priske.

    The goal came against the run of play, with Swansea the better side until they were undone cheaply.

    Alex Cochrane's flighted delivery sailed over Cameron Burgess and Josh Tymon, with Priske steering in after Carlos Vicente drilled the ball across the face.

    Chris Davies will be delighted to be ahead.

    Hopefully a few of the West Ham players have woken up because this is a dress rehearsal. They'll be playing at tempo and teams will respect them, but they won't be giving an inch.

    Nuno has to have a bit of a shout and a scream because there are a few players who have not done it.

    Football's about winning but to win games you have to put performances in. They won't win many games with performances like that.
