Hearts have a two-goal lead - and it's well deserved.

They've peppered the St Johnstone goal - 11 shots with seven of them on target. It could be a real mullering, if it weren't for Toby Steward in the Saints' sticks.

That's not to say they haven't had spells of pressure. Four shots, 20 final-third entries, but only one real save of note for Beau Reus.

No European hangover for Hearts by the looks of things.

There was a bit of work for Jack Walton to do with a save from close range as Kilmarnock pressed, but it's been a thoroughly comfortable first half for United.

Emmanuel Agyei headed them in front, Zac Sapsford added a penalty and the pick of the goals came from Will Ferry.

Two goals through the middle for the Colombian in Kasper Hogh's absence and he continues to look a really good signing for the club.

This was exactly what Celtic required after a bruising week as patience might have been short supply if they struggled.

St Johnstone almost get one back as a cross picks out Josh Fowler in the middle, but his glanced header is easily saved by goalkeeper Beau Reus.

Hearts then come up the pitch and Josh McPake has an effort, but Toby Steward turns it behind.

Yang Hyun-jun sparks a Celtic attack with another positive run, but Falkirk goalkeeper Scott Bain gets down to his right to parry Benjamin Nygren's shot behind for a corner.

Hearts have a free-kick on the edge of the box. Jordi Altena lines it up. He curls for the top corner, but goalkeeper Toby Steward flies across to make the save.

From the resulting corner, Hearts have the ball in the back of the net, but it's instantly ruled out as Laurent Mendy jumps into the goalkeeper as he powers his header in.

Kilmarnock substitute defender George Stanger has been penalised for a tug on Michael Forbes' shirt.

It's a great goal from Celtic. Ryan Strain is up the other end doing really well, which is one of his real strengths, but the defensive side of it is probably a little bit of a weakness.

There is too much space on that side and Kieran Tierney exploits it brilliantly with the cross to Camilo Duran.
